The Tianjin Bombardier Service Center in China received the approval of Part 145 of the European Union Air Safety Agency (EASA) for the maintenance of lines and bases in Globals and Challengers and the approval of components for batteries and wheels. Equipped for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, the center also provides avionics and AOG support for Learjets, Challengers, and Globals. «These important EASA certifications illustrate how well equipped we are to support Bombardier Business Aircraft customers throughout the region for their warranty, repair and line service needs. The Tianjin service center provides support and maintenance service superior to customers in China and gives Asia-Pacific-based customers faster access to support closer to their base operations», said Bombardier’s vice president of experience and general manager Jean-Christophe Gallagher.
Bombardier and the Tianjin Airport Economic Area jointly opened the center of 95,766 square feet (8,500 square meters) in April 2017, which is located in northeast China. It opened with the certification of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to support the Global family, Challenger 604/605 and the Challenger 850 series. The CAAC certification allows the center to conduct 96-month inspections for the Challengers of the 600 series, as well as 120-month inspections for Globals.
