Inicia operaciones Madagascar Airlines
Madagascar Airlines, la nueva aerolínea nacional, ha obtenido su Certificado de Operador Aéreo (AOC), que reemplaza a la antigua Air Madagascar. La compañía obtuvo su licencia de operación y certificado de transporte después de cumplir con los cinco pasos reglamentarios obligatorios, de seguridad y protección, que demandaron aproximadamente un año. La Aviación Civil de Madagascar subraya que ha superado las cinco fases obligatorias en materia de reglamentación, seguridad y protección. La compañía ha reportado una regularidad de vuelo del 80%-90% de puntualidad y 70% de factor de carga. La nueva entidad aérea ha sido formada de las compañías Air Madagascar y Tsaradia.
La nueva compañía aérea se constituyó el Lunes 17 de Abril de 2023. “Las cinco fases obligatorias en términos de regulaciones, seguridad y protección se han completado. Gracias a estas certificaciones de reconocimiento internacional, Madagascar Airlines servirá con confianza y orgullo a los ocho principales aeropuertos nacionales de la Isla Grande, además de las rutas regionales, además de las rutas europeas ya adquiridas”, dice L’Express de Madagascar.
Cambios mercado aviación
Las aerolíneas Air Austral y Air Madagascar firmaron un Memorando de Entendimiento (MoU) el 21 de Julio de 2020 para confirmar la retirada de Air Austral del capital de Air Madagascar. El Gobierno malgache y el CNaPS (Fondo Nacional de Seguridad Social) asumieron oficialmente el control y la gobernanza de Air Madagascar, pero se declaró en bancarrota un año y medio después con deudas de más de US$ 80 millones de Dólares.
Para evitar nuevas dificultades económicos-financieras la nueva startup abrirá su capital al sector privado nacional. La compañía tiene como objetivo ampliar su flota y abrir su capital al sector privado malgache. Madagascar Airlines es propiedad en un 51% del Gobierno malgache.
Madagascar Airlines tiene la perspectivas de atender áreas como la puntualidad, regularidad de los vuelos y seguridad operativa. Como parte de las estrategias fomentarán la asociación con la Asociación Internacional de Transporte Aéreo (IATA) y el Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP), un sistema diseñado para facilitar y simplificar los procedimientos de venta, notificación y remisión de los agentes de ventas de pasajeros acreditados por IATA.
Red & flota
La aerolínea nacional servirá a los principales aeropuertos de la Isla Madagascar entre los destinos domésticos: Mahajanga, Nosy Be, Antsiranana, Sambava, Antalaha, Sainte Marie, Toamasina, Morondava, Toliara, Taolagnaro. Las rutas internacionales abarcan: Dzaoudzi (Mayotte), Sainte-Marie (Reunión), Paris (Francia). La aerolínea planea expandir las rutas europeas y entrar en el mercado asiático en los próximos meses con vuelos de código compartido.
La flota de Madagascar Airlines actualmente cuenta con un Airbus A340-300 (1), seis turbohélices ATR 41/72 y un Boeing 737-300 (1). Además de las rutas regionales operadas con sus 6 aviones turboprop, actualmente alquila un A330-200 con tripulación de Air Belgium que realiza la ruta Antananarivo/TNR—París/CDG. La aerolínea ha alcanzado un acuerdo para incorporar Embraer E190-E2. En Diciembre de 2022, la aerolínea africana firmó un acuerdo para arrendar tres aviones E190-E2 (3) del arrendador Azorra, con entregas a partir de Junio 2023 hasta 2024. Se espera que el avión sirva rutas nacionales y archipiélagos cercanos como la Isla Mauricio.

Changes aviation market

International routes cover: Dzaoudzi (Mayotte), Sainte-Marie (Reunión), Paris (France). The airline plans to expand European routes and enter the Asian market in the coming months with shared code flights.
The Madagascar Airlines fleet currently has an Airbus A340-300 (1), six turboprop ATR 42/72 (6) and one Boeing 737-300 (1). In addition to the regional routes operated with its 6 Turboprop aircraft, it currently rents an A330-200 with Air Belgium crew that performs the Antananarivo/TNR—Paris/CDG route. The airline has reached an agreement to incorporate Embraer E190-E2. In December 2022, the African airline signed an agreement to lease three E190-E2 (3) aircraft of the Azorra lessor, with deliveries from June 2023 to 2024. The plane is expected to serve national routes and nearby archipelagos like Mauricio Island.
