Azerbaijan Airlines finaliza pedido Boeing 787 Dreamliner adicionales
The Boeing Company y Azerbaijan Airlines anunciaron que la aerolínea de bandera nacional ha ordenado ocho Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (8) para apoyar el crecimiento de su flota de larga distancia. Construido con materiales compuestos ligeros y propulsado por motores avanzados, el 787 Dreamliner puede transportar hasta un 20% más de pasajeros al tiempo que reduce el uso de combustible y las emisiones en un 25% en comparación con los aviones a los que reemplaza. El alcance del 787-8 alcanza hasta 13.530 km en una configuración típica de dos clases, lo que permite a Azerbaijan Airlines hacer crecer su red en Europa, Asia y más allá.

The Boeing Company and Azerbaijan Airlines announced that the national flag airline has ordered eight Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (8) to support the growth of its long distance fleet. The leaders of both companies, including Jahangir Asgarov, President of Azerbaijan Airlines, and Stan Deal, President and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, celebrated the order at a signature ceremony at the airline operations center in Baku. In July 2022, Boeing and the airline announced a commitment to buy four 787; Since then, the order was finished for eight aircraft and did not identify on the Boeing orders and deliveries website.
“The successful development of the country’s civil aviation has been possible thanks to the continuous support and attention of the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. More than 85 customers worldwide have made orders of more than 1,600 787 Dreamliners, which makes 787 the most selling double corridor plane in history. Built with light compound materials and propelled by advanced motors, the 787 Dreamliner can transport up to 20% more passengers while reducing the use of fuel and emissions by 25% compared to the planes it replaces. The range of 787-8 reaches up to 13,530 km in a typical two classes configuration, allowing Azerbaijan Airlines to grow its network in Europe, Asia and beyond.
Azerbaijan Airlines is one of the largest airlines in Central Asia, which serves 40 destinations in 25 countries, with a fleet that includes Boeing 757, 767 and 787 aircraft.
