Qatar Airways apertura operaciones Boeing 737 MAX
Qatar Airways ha iniciado oficialmente las operaciones con Boeing 737 MAX por primera vez el Martes 09/05. La aeronave Boeing 737-8 MAX operó la ruta ida y vuelta entre Doha—Kuwait. Los qataríes esperan poner en servicio un total de nueve MAX 8 en un futuro próximo, dos de los cuales han sido entregados.
Más tarde, la aerolínea también volará 25 MAX 10, el 737 más largo, pero ese tipo aún no está certificado. Los nueve MAX 8 estaban destinados originalmente al S7 Airlines ruso, pero no se les permitió ser entregados debido a las sanciones, después de lo cual Qatar los alquiló a la compañía de arrendamiento ALC.
A diferencia de su principal competidor Emirates, no es inusual que Qatar Airways vuele aviones de fuselaje estrecho. Los qataríes también tienen 29 Airbus A320 en su flota y esperan recibir 2026 A50neos a partir de 321, ahora que se ha resuelto la larga disputa con Airbus.
El primer MAX 8 de la aerolínea de Doha tiene el registro A7-BSC y puede acomodar a 176 pasajeros, de los cuales 8 en Business Class en una configuración 2-2 y 168 en Economy (3-3). Los MAX están destinados a las mismas rutas que los A320, es decir, a destinos en Oriente Medio y un poco más allá (como Chipre).

Qatar Airways officially started operations with Boeing 737 MAX for the first time on Tuesday 09/05. The Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft operated the round trip between Doha-Kuwait. The Qatari hope to put a total of nine MAX 8 in the near future, two of which have been delivered.
Later, the airline will also fly 25 MAX 10, the longest 737, but that guy is not yet certified. The nine MAX 8 were originally intended for Russian S7 Airlines, but they were not allowed to be delivered due to the sanctions, after which Qatar rented them to the ALC lease.
Unlike its main Emirates competitor, it is not unusual for Qatar Airways to fly narrow fuselage aircraft. The Qatari also has 29 Airbus A320 in their fleet and hopes to receive a 2026 A50 from 321, now that the long dispute with Airbus has been resolved.
