JetSMART reclama más slots en El Dorado por libre competencia
La aerolínea de capital chileno JetSMART Airlines Group ha expresado el reclamo más slot, los permisos de despeje y aterrizaje, en el Aeropuerto Bogotá/El Dorado/BOG a la Aerocivil Colombia, por el cual se debe mantener un criterio justo para la competencia al garantizar el ingreso de nuevos operadores. Tras el fracaso de la integración entre Avianca Arilines y Viva Air, JetSMART ha reclamado más slots en el principal aeropuerto colombiano con el fin de preservar las condiciones de la libre competencia y evitar la concentración de mercado en un solo operador.
“Como operador aéreo presente en rutas internacionales del país desde el 2019 y próximo a servir en el mercado doméstico colombiano, consideramos fundamental la adopción de las medidas necesarias para minimizar los riesgos derivados de la concentración de mercado en un solo operador, preservando las condiciones de libre competencia en el sector, así como la calidad del servicio a los viajeros”, dijo Estuardo Ortiz, presidente y CEO de JetSMART.
La aerolínea chilena sigue trabajando con la Aerocivil para lograr la certificación como operador aéreo en Colombia: “En conjunto con los expertos de la Aerocivil, los miembros del equipo humano JetSMART seguimos trabajando con rigor en las tareas que implica la certificación como operador aéreo en Colombia, lo que nos habilitará para ofrecerles muy pronto un servicio eficiente y asequible para todos los colombianos en rutas a lo largo y ancho del país”, señaló Estuardo Ortíz.
JetSMART Airlines Colombia está autorizada para avanzar en su certificación para la prestación de sus servicios en los aeropuertos de Bogotá, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Medellín, Cúcuta, Montería, Pereira, Pasto, San Andrés y Santa Marta.
“Somos conscientes de los desafíos que enfrenta la aviación comercial en la región y particularmente en Colombia. En medio de esta coyuntura sabemos que lo más importante es y sigue siendo satisfacer las necesidades de los pasajeros y en esto estamos concentrados en JetSMART. Por eso en la empresa no ahorraremos esfuerzos para ofrecerles un servicio seguro, ágil, eficiente y a precios asequibles para todos, como ya lo hacemos desde 2017 en Chile, Perú y Argentina”, aseguró Estuardo Ortiz en su momento.

The Chilean airline continues to work with Aerocivil to achieve certification as an air operator in Colombia: “In conjunction with the experts of Aerocivil, members of the JetSMART team we continue working rigorously in the tasks involved in certification as an air operator in Colombia in Colombia , which will enable us to offer them very soon an efficient and affordable service for all Colombians on routes throughout the country”, said Estuardo Ortíz.
JetSMART Airlines Colombia is authorized to advance its certification for the provision of its services at the airports of Bogotá, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Medellín, Cúcuta, Montería, Pereira, Pasto, San Andrés and Santa Marta.
