Transavia cancela 300 vuelos por la falta de aviones
La compañía holandesa Transavia Airlines ha cancelado la programación de trescientos vuelos por falta de disponibilidad de aeronaves. Miembro del grupo Air France-KLM, ha virado la decisión de migrar a una flota de aviones europeos de Airbus Group, pero debido a los retrasos de entregas de unidades no está recibiendo las órdenes establecidas en tiempo y forma en base a la programación establecida.
La falta de aviones, sobre todo por los grandes retrasos en las entregas, está obligando a la aerolínea franco-holandesa Transavia a cancelar vuelos previstos para la temporada de verano europeo. La aerolínea ha anunciado la anulación de 150 vuelos que hay que sumar a los otros 150 actualmente suspendidos previamente totalizando trescientos vuelos que no operarán este verano septentrional, fundamentalmente con destino al Mediterráneo a España, Portugal, Grecia e Italia y también Dinamarca. Transavia ha comunicado que permitirá realizar cambios en la programación de vuelos a los usuarios del transporte aéreo o reembolso del importe abonado.
El cambio de filosofía de flota de Boeing a Airbus ha llevado a un cuello de botella en su programación de entregas de aeronaves comerciales que ha limitado su capacidad de respuesta para la temporada de verano. Aunque, del otro lado del Atlántico, el fabricante The Boeing Company también está teniendo retrasos en sus entregas, el cambio de factoría en Transavia podría suponer un desafío para la compañía que posee una flota de Boeing 737 Next Generation.
Las cancelaciones afectan también a Sunweb, un turoperador holandés que tenía contratado con Transavia muchos de sus servicios para la temporada. La empresa ha indicado que la aerolínea ha resuelto casi todos los problemas creados y que en una mínima parte de los casos se ha debido modificar el calendario. “Entendemos la incertidumbre que esto genera para los clientes, pero estamos orgullosos de haber podido encontrar una alternativa adecuada para todos”, señala Mattijs ten Brink, CEO del grupo turístico.

Although, on the other side of the Atlantic, the manufacturer The Boeing Company is also having delays in its deliveries, the change of factory in Transavia could be a challenge for the company that has a Boeing 737 Next Generation fleet.
Cancellations also affect Sunweb, a Dutch tour that had hired Transavia for many of its services for the season. The company has indicated that the airline has solved almost all the problems created and that in a minimum part of the cases, the calendar must have been modified. “We understand the uncertainty that this generates for customers, but we are proud to have been able to find an adequate alternative for all”, says Mattijs Ten Brink, CEO of the tourist group.
