Air Algérie firma acuerdo adquisición Boeing 737-9 MAX
La aerolínea Air Algérie ha firmado un pedido con The Boeing Company por ocho Boeing 737-9 MAX (8) con entregas a partir de 2027. La aerolínea argelina confirmó el 17 de Mayo de 2023 que había firmado con el fabricante de aviones estadounidense por ocho 737-9 MAX, con una primera entrega en 2027. El monto del contrato entre Air Algérie y Boeing no ha sido revelado, pero el CEO Yacine Benslimane expresó: “que es el primer contrato en el contexto de la adquisición de una flota de 15 aviones que acompaña la estrategia de la extensión de la flota de Air Algérie a través de la compra de nuevos aviones”.
La aerolínea había anunciado en Abril 2023 la adjudicación provisional de un contrato para ocho aviones de pasillo único de 170 a 210 asientos para el Boeing 737-9 MAX. Como parte de la expansión y modernización de flota, Air Algérie ha establecido arrendamientos de aeronaves de gran porte de aviones de fuselaje ancho de cinco Airbus A330-900 (5) para entre 280 a 320 asientos y dos A350-1000 (2) para acomodar entre 350 a 450 asientos. La finalización de los contratos con el fabricante europeo continúa pendiente de aprobación.
El arrendamiento operativo de una flota de hasta diez aviones por un período máximo de cinco años: en este caso seis aviones de fuselaje ancho de cuatro A330 (4), dos A330-900 (2), cuatro aviones de pasillo único Boeing 737-800 (2) y Boeing 737-9 MAX (2). Las ofertas de las compañías de arrendamiento deben llegar antes del 22 de Mayo de 2023 que permitirán establecer la programación pata la temporada de verano en Argelia. Actualmente cuenta con una flota de 55 aviones, ATR 72 (15), Boeing 737-600/700/800 (32) y A330-200 (8), con una edad media de 15,2 años promedio.

The Air Algérie airline has signed an order with The Boeing Company for eight Boeing 737-9 MAX (8) with deliveries from 2027. The Algerian airline confirmed on May 17, 2023, that he had signed with the American airplane manufacturer for eight for eight 737-9 MAX, with a first installment in 2027. As part of the expansion and modernization of its fleet, Air Algérie has established leases of large-scale aircraft of the wide fuselage aircraft of five Airbus A330-900 (5) for between 280 and 320 seats and two A350-1000 (2) to accommodate between 350 to 450 seats. The termination of contracts with the European manufacturer continues pending approval.

The offers of the lease companies must arrive before May 22, 2023, which will allow the establishment of the Summer season in Algeria.
