Scoot confirma pedido de nuevo avión Embraer E190-E2
Scoot Airlines, la aerolínea de bajo costo y subsidiaria de Singapore Airlines, ha elegido el avión Embraer E190-E2 para ayudar a desbloquear sus planes de expansión en la región de Asia y el Pacífico. El Martes 23 de Marzo de 2023, la aerolínea con sede en Singapur confirmó que recibirá nueve E190-E2 para agregar a su creciente flota. El acuerdo se anunció por primera vez en febrero, y el avión se entregará a Scoot a través de un acuerdo de arrendamiento con el arrendador de aviones comerciales Azorra Holdings, que actualmente tiene una cartera de aviones Embraer en su flota de 77 aviones. La aerolínea de bajo costo de Singapur realizará su primera entrega de nueve aviones Embraer el próximo año, ya que busca expandir su presencia en el mercado del sudeste asiático. Scoot está programado para recibir su primer avión E2 en 2024, y los ocho aviones restantes se entregarán a lo largo de 2025.
La aerolínea de bajo costo de Singapur, establecida en 2011, actualmente opera vuelos a 66 destinos en 18 países, pero planea una expansión significativa. Los E190-E2 son uno de los últimos modelos de aviones lanzados por Embraer y fueron introducidos por primera vez por el fabricante brasileño de aviones en 2018. The plane will also help Scoot to meet its sustainability objectives, thanks to its avant-garde aerodynamics, wings, and innovative technologies, which help offer a 25% reduction in carbon emissions compared to the previous generation of Embraer aircraft.

The E190-E2 is one of the latest Motion-launched aircraft models and was introduced for the first time by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer in 2018. Several airlines around the world use E2 in their fleet, including KLM, Azul, Royal Jordanian, and Tui. However, Scoot will become the first airline in Southeast Asia to receive airplanes.
Embraer also recently showed the short track landing capacity of the E2, with a simulated landing at Pohang airport in South Korea that took place at more than 1,066 m, as part of an attempt to highlight the capacity of the model to use a 1,200 m track before the opening of the Ulleungdo airport.
