Transportista italiano toma entrega primer Airbus A330-900NEO
ITA Airways ha recibido su primer Airbus A330-900neo, en arrendamiento de Air Lease Corporation (ALC), durante una ceremonia celebrada en Toulouse, Francia. El avión, que realizó su primer vuelo el 27 de Abril de 2023, realizará su vuelo de entrega el Viernes 26/05 desde la planta de fabricación de Airbus en Toulouse a la base de la aerolínea ubicada en el Aeropuerto de Roma Fiumicino (FCO). El A330neo se unirá a la flota de ITA Airways en Junio 2023 para cumplir sus rutas de larga distancia y sus nuevos destinos intercontinentales.
El Director de Tecnología de ITA Airways, Francesco Presicce, dijo en la recepción del Centro de Entrega en Toulouse: “Hoy, la asociación estratégica con Airbus da un paso adelante. Estoy encantado de estar aquí en persona en la sede de Toulouse con motivo de la entrega del primer Airbus A330neo completamente construido de acuerdo con el nuevo diseño de cabina de Ita Airways. Con Airbus, El proveedor único de aviones para nuestra flota, hemos creado una sinergia especial desde el principio, que involucra diferentes áreas de colaboración y desarrollo de negocios, siempre con el objetivo de realizar una movilidad del aire más moderna, cómoda y eficiente en combustible, equipado con corte. Tecnologías de borde”.
La nueva incorporación del A330-900neo posee registro EI-HJN, es propiedad de Air Lease Corporation y será arrendada a ITA Airways para expandir los servicios de la aerolínea a destinos como Nueva York, Miami, São Paulo y Delhi. El servicio comercial inaugural está programado para ser la ruta Roma/FCO—Miami/MIA a partir de la próxima semana. El vuelo AZ630 saldrá de Roma a las 10:40 del 01/06, llegando a Miami a las 15:55. El vuelo de regreso AZ631 saldrá a las 19:25, llegando a casa a las 11:35 [+1].
El A330neo es el tipo de avión de última generación de la familia A330 del constructor europeo para unirse a la flota del transportista italiano. La aerolínea, actualmente opera todas las familias de aviones Airbus con una flota de 68 aviones Airbus A220 (4), A320-family (50), A330-200 (8) y A350-900 (6).
Sostenibilidad
Al seleccionar A330neo, ITA Airways está consolidando aún más su estrategia de ser un operador all-Airbus y aprovechar nuevos niveles de eficiencia y flexibilidad operativas. La introducción del A330neo permitirá desarrollar un índice de ecoeficiencia de última generación. ITA Airways continúa con su política de modernización de flota para cumplir con sus ambiciosos objetivos de sostenibilidad. Para apoyar aún más esta ambición, el vuelo de entrega estará impulsado por una combinación del 16% de Combustible de Aviación Sostenible (SAF).
Diseño A330neo
El A330neo ofrece economía operativa inmejorable y cuenta con una galardonada cabina del espacio aéreo con más espacio de pasajeros, un nuevo sistema de iluminación, los últimos sistemas de entretenimiento en vuelo y conectividad completa en toda la cabina. La aeronave A330neo de ITA Airways llamada “Gelindo Bordin”, para conmemorar al campeón de maratón olímpico italiano, contará con un diseño de cabina de tres clases diseñado por el reconocido diseñador Walter de Silva. El nuevo A330-900 para ITA Airways cuenta con una configuración de tres clases, que incluye 30 asientos de clase ejecutiva, 24 asientos en clase económica premium y 237 asientos en clase económica, de los cuales 36 están dedicados a la oferta Comfort Economy de la aerolínea. Los 30 asientos de clase ejecutiva se reclinan completamente en camas totalmente reclinables, todas con acceso directo al pasillo. Todos los asientos estarán equipados con contenido de video y audio a pedido, así como conectividad WiFi completa y iluminación de humor altamente personalizable en toda la cabina. Ofreciendo una experiencia mejorada a los pasajeros con su nuevo concepto de diseño interior, el nuevo miembro de la flota ofrecerá a los pasajeros la “Airpace Cabin”, que, según la aerolínea, “proporciona los más altos niveles de confort y mayor espacio en la cabina, un nuevo sistema de iluminación, sofisticados sistemas de entretenimiento en vuelo y conectividad WiFi completa en toda la cabina”.
El A330neo es la versión de nueva generación del popular A330 widebody. Incorporando los motores Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 de última generación, nuevas alas y una gama de innovaciones aerodinámicas, el avión ofrece una reducción del 25 por ciento en el consumo de combustible y las emisiones de CO2. El A330-900 es capaz de volar 7.200 nm/13.334 km non-stop. A finales de Abril 2023, la familia A330 había registrado un total de más de 1.775 pedidos firmes de los cuales 289 son A330neo de 25 clientes. Hasta la fecha, se han entregado 100 A330neo a nivel mundial.

Italian carrier takes first Airbus A330-900neo
ITA Airways received its first Airbus A330-900neo, in the lease of Air Lease Corporation (ALC), during a ceremony held in Toulouse, France. The plane, which made its first flight on April 27, 2023, will carry out its delivery flight on Friday 26/05 from the Airbus manufacturing plant in Toulouse to the base of the airline located at the Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). The A330neo will join the Ita Airways fleet in June 2023 to fulfill its long-distance routes and its new intercontinental destinations.

With Airbus, the single airplane supplier for our fleet, we have created a special synergy from the beginning, which involves different areas of collaboration and development of Business, always with the aim of making more modern, comfortable, and efficient air mobility, equipped with cutting. Edge technologies”.
The new incorporation of the A330-900neo has EI-HJN registration, is owned by Air Lease Corporation, and will be leased to Ita Airways to expand the airline services to destinations such as New York, Miami, São Paulo, and Delhi. The opening commercial service is scheduled to be the Roma/FCO—Miami/MIA route from next week. The AZ630 flight will leave Rome at 10:40 on 01/01, reaching Miami at 15:55. The AZ631 return flight will leave at 19:25, arriving home at 11:35 [+1].
The A330neo is the last generation type of airplane from the A330 family of the European builder to join the Italian carrier fleet. The airline currently operates all Airbus aircraft families with a fleet of 68 Airbus A220 (4), A320-Family (50), A330-200 (8) and A350-900 (6).
Sustainability
When selecting A330neo, ITA Airways is further consolidating its strategy of being an All-Airbus operator and taking advantage of new levels of efficiency and operational flexibility. The introduction of the A330neo will allow the development of the latest generation eco-efficiency index. ITA Airways continues with its fleet modernization policy to meet its ambitious sustainability objectives. To further support this ambition, the delivery flight will be driven by a 16% combination of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
A330neo design
The A330neo offers unbeatable operational economy and has an award-winning cabin with more passenger space, a new lighting system, the latest entertainment systems in flight, and complete connectivity throughout the cabin. The ITA Airways A330 Aircraft called “Gelindo Bordin”, to commemorate the Italian Olympic Marathon champion, will have a three-classes cabin design designed by the renowned designer Walter de Silva. The new A330-900 for ITA Airways has a three-classes configuration, which includes 30 executive class seats, 24 seats in Premium Economic Class, and 237 seats in economic class, of which 36 are dedicated to the Comfort Economy offer of the airline. The 30 executive class seats are completely reclined in totally reclining beds, all with direct access to the hall. All seats will be equipped with video and audio content on request, as well as complete Wifi connectivity and highly customizable humor lighting throughout the cabin. Offering an improved experience to passengers with their new concept of interior design, the new member of the fleet will offer passengers the “Airpace Cabin”, which, according to the airline, “provides the highest levels of comfort and greater space in the Cabin, a new lighting system, sophisticated entertainment systems in flight and complete Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the cabin”.
The A330neo is the new generation version of the popular A330 widebody. Incorporating Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, new wings, and a range of aerodynamic innovations, the plane offers a 25 percent reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The A330-900 is able to fly 7,200 NM/13,334 Km non-stop. At the end of April 2023, the A330 family had registered a total of more than 1,775 firm orders of which 289 are A330neo of 25 clients. To date, 100 A330neo have been delivered worldwide.
