Posponen programa turbohélice varios años
Un nuevo potencial avión turbohélice de Embraer “se deslizará al menos hasta principios de la década de 2030”, dijo el Presidente y CEO de Embraer Commercial Aviation, Arjan Meijer, el 26 de Mayo de 2023. La declaración es la última y más clara indicación de que el proyecto, tal como se concibió originalmente, no se convertirá en realidad al menos hasta varios años vista.
El constructor brasileño de aviones comerciales ha anunciado que pospone la decisión de iniciar el programa de aeronaves turbohélices conocido como TPNG o E3-Jet, para el desarrollo de dos versiones de aviones regionales TPGN 70 y TPGN 90. El programa ha sido retrasado nuevamente sin identificar los motivos definidos, dejando un umbral de espacio para ver la luz de un nuevo producto hacia finales de 2030 o más allá.
