Juez dictamina familiares víctimas 737 MAX buscar compensación
Los familiares de las víctimas en el accidente del vuelo ET-302 de Ethiopian Airlines del Boeing 737-8 MAX pueden reclamar una indemnización, dictaminó un Juez de Estados Unidos expresando que a los familiares se les permitirá hacer reclamos por el dolor y el sufrimiento experimentado por sus seres queridos antes del impacto. “Hay evidencia suficiente para apoyar una inferencia razonable de que estos pasajeros experimentaron miedo y terror antes del impacto, y esa experiencia es parte del ‘proceso o forma de muerte”, escribió en su fallo el Juez Federal de Distrito Northern Illinois, Jorge L. Alonso.
En Noviembre de 2021, The Boeing Company admitió su responsabilidad por el accidente después de que los familiares de las víctimas iniciaran presentaciones legales civiles. En ese momento, Boeing dijo en un comunicado: “Boeing se compromete a garantizar que todas las familias que perdieron seres queridos en los accidentes reciban una compensación completa y justa por su pérdida. Al aceptar la responsabilidad, el acuerdo de Boeing con las familias permite a las partes centrar sus esfuerzos en determinar la compensación adecuada para cada familia”.
El Vuelo ET302 de Ethiopian Airlines fue un vuelo internacional regular de pasajeros desde el Aeropuerto Internacional Addis Abeba Bole (ADD) en Etiopía al Aeropuerto Internacional Jomo Kenyatta (NBO) en Nairobi, Kenia. El 10 de Marzo de 2019, el avión Boeing 737-8 MAX que operaba el vuelo se estrelló cerca de la ciudad de Bishoftu seis minutos después del despegue, matando a las 157 personas a bordo.

Judge dictates relatives victims of 737 MAX can seek compensation
The relatives of the victims in the accident of the ET-302 flight of Ethiopian Airlines of the Boeing 737-8 MAX can claim compensation, a Judge from the United States ruled expressing that family members will be allowed to make claims for pain and suffering experienced for their loved ones before impact. “There is sufficient evidence to support a reasonable inference that these passengers experienced fear and terror before the impact, and that experience is part of the ‘process or way of death”, Federal Judge District Northern Illinois, Jorge L. Alonso wrote in his ruling.
In November 2021, The Boeing Company admitted its responsibility for the accident after the relatives of the victims initiated civil legal presentations. At that time, Boeing said in a statement: “Boeing undertakes to ensure that all families who lost loved ones in accidents receive complete and fair compensation for their loss. By accepting responsibility, Boeing’s agreement with families allows to the parties focus their efforts on determining the appropriate compensation for each family”.
The ET302 flight of Ethiopian Airlines was a regular international passenger flight from the Addis Abeba Bleck International Airport (ADD) in Ethiopia to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi, Kenya. On March 10, 2019, the Boeing 737-8 MAX plane that operated the flight crashed near the city of Bishftu six minutes after takeoff, killing the 157 people on board.
