Aerolíneas comenzará a volar a Miami y Nueva York desde Aeroparque

Anunciado hace meses atrás la compañía aérea Aerolíneas Argentinas espera realizar vuelos al exterior desde el Aeropuerto Buenos Aires/Jorge Newbery/AEP a partir de Agosto 2023, según la resolución que publicará la Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC) en los próximos días. La aerolínea había solicitado la aprobación para rutas al exterior desde la aeroestación porteña. La compañía Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmó que comenzará a volar a los Estados Unidos con salidas desde el Aeroparque Jorge Newbery. Los vuelos comenzarán el 7 de Agosto de 2023. La apertura de venta de tickets estará disponible dentro de pocos días.

La línea aérea de bandera había solicitado hace un tiempo el permiso a la ANAC para realizar la ruta internacional con aeronaves Airbus A330-200 con capacidad para 268 pasajeros puedan salir desde la ciudad de Buenos Aires con destino final a Miami y New York. En las próximas horas la ANAC hará oficial la autorización por medio de una resolución publicada en el Boletín Oficial.

La posibilidad de contar con vuelos también desde la ciudad de Buenos Aires hacia los Estados Unidos surgió luego de las reformas de Aeroparque, donde se alargó la pista y se hicieron 62.000 m2 de bases y sub-bases granulares, con 100.000 m3 de hormigón. De esta forma, la infraestructura del aeroparque quedó en condiciones para que aterricen un Airbus A330 u otros aviones de porte similar. A mediados de Julio 2023, en Aeroparque terminarán los trabajos en la llamada Plataforma Norte que permitirán el estacionamiento de aviones de mayor porte y descomprimirá la cantidad de aeronaves que estacionan de manera remota, para ser localizados en posiciones con mangas telescópicas.

Rutas internacionales desde AEP
En principio, los primeros vuelos a Estados Unidos con salida desde Aeroparque tendrían como destino Miami. La ruta Buenos Aires/AEP—Miami/MIA operará con cuatro frecuencias semanales (4Frq/S) los Martes, Miércoles, Viernes y Domingos con horario de partida a las 23.30 hs. La ruta con Buenos Aires/AEP—Nueva York/JFK contará con tres vuelos semanales (3Frq/S), los Lunes, Jueves y Sábados partiendo a las 23.55 hs. Los regresos serán los Martes, Viernes y Domingo con partida desde New York/JFK a las 15:25 y arribo a las 03:25 hs. Aerolíneas empleará la aeronave Airbus A330-200 configurada para 268 pasajeros en ambas rutas a Estados Unidos.

Aerolíneas Argentinas continuará con la programación de vuelos a Estados Unidos desde el Aeropuerto Ezeiza (EZE), donde la compañía posee el principal hub de distribución de vuelos internacionales. El A330 realiza vuelos de cabotaje a Ushuaia, Calafate y Bariloche que permiten conectar los destinos turísticos de alta demanda. La línea aérea buscará ampliar las rutas desde Aeroparque con futuras conexiones regionales e internacionales.

De acuerdo a los datos más recientes publicados por la ANAC, sólo durante Abril 2023 Aerolíneas Argentinas transportó a 21.260 pasajeros a destinos de los Estados Unidos, aunque no fue la firma con mayor participación en ese mercado. American Airlines, casi duplicó esa cantidad, con 41.044 personas transportadas en vuelos a suelo norteamericano. También cubren esas rutas las empresas United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, entre otras. También, el Aeroparque Jorge Newbery recibió a 989.808 pasajeros por vuelos de cabotaje (un 37,6% del total de todo el país). Mientras que en el mismo período recibió a 249.000 pasajeros por vuelos internacionales, un 30% más que en el mes de abril del año anterior. En Abril de 2023 la aerolínea de bandera transportó desde Aeroparque 209.598 pasajeros en vuelos internacionales, con una participación del 24,47% del total del mercado.

Perspectivas Aeroparque
La habilitación para el Airbus A330 favorecerá a Aerolíneas Argentinas, sino también a las compañías de transporte aéreo estadounidenses, pues se trata de un permiso recíproco, habilitando a las compañías aéreas de los Estados Unidos quedar también habilitadas para operar esa misma cantidad de vuelos hacia el Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery. Aunque jurídicamente estarán habilitadas para hacerlo, la utilización del nuevo destino implicaría que las compañías armen una nueva base logística en Aeroparque, un cambio que implicaría una fuerte inversión a la par de Ezeiza. De todas maneras, las líneas aéreas extranjeras pondrán el foco en aterrizar en Aeroparque por la conveniencia por encontrarse dentro de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

Controversias Aeroparque
Las habilitaciones pertinentes para la apertura de vuelos internacionales en el Aeropuerto Buenos Aires/AEP abrirá un debate de las compañías aéreas argentinas como JetSMART Airlines Argentina y Flybondi Líneas Aéreas para lograr alcanzar los mismos derechos para volar más destinos domésticos y habilitar vuelos internacionales. El histórico reclamo de las low cost frente a la posición dominante de Aerolíneas Argentinas favorecida por la venia política, continuará solicitando ampliar el número de frecuencias de vuelos (slots), después que el actual Gobierno anunciara hacer uso de Aeroparque para todas las líneas aéreas argentinas..
