Delta Air Lines y EL AL Israel Airlines lanzarán asociación estratégica

Delta Air Lines y EL AL Israel Airlines han firmado un acuerdo para lanzar una asociación estratégica que ofrecerá conexiones más convenientes para los clientes que vuelan entre los Estados Unidos e Israel. Delta offers up to 200 same-day connections from Tel Aviv via its US gateways Atlanta, Boston, and New York/JFK, while EL AL offers customers additional nonstop service to Tel Aviv from Boston and New York/JFK, along with its Los Angeles, Miami, and Newark service. In due course, both airlines will add their respective codes on flights operated by the other.

“Working closely with EL AL will further strengthen Delta’s connection to Israel by offering more customers unmatched access to destinations across the United States. With the recently announced codeshare agreement, the airline will look to offer additional options for its customers traveling to Israel. EL AL Israel Airlines will seek to offer customers in the region more accessible to Delta’s established network in the United States and other areas of the world. Global Airlines, has agreed to acquire a trio of giant Airbus A380s to increase its fleet to four before the planned start of services in spring 2024. More details about the plane, the acquisition, and the renewal will be published in the coming months, according to the company, which has not yet confirmed where it will fly from and which destinations it will serve.

Meanwhile, the airline has appointed former XL Airways COO Pierre Madrange, a former French Air Force pilot, to its advisory board, as well as Ian Black, who has worked for a major airline with long unnamed UK distance for over twenty-five years as a senior captain on Airbus and Boeing long-haul aircraft. They will advise the executive team and work closely with founder and CEO James Asquith on managing airline operations and airline digitalization. They join easyJet’s Emma Henderson and former Rolls Royce Customer Director Jacqueline Sutton on the new airline’s Advisory Board.

The airline is now focused on working closely with relevant authorities and partners in preparation for next spring’s maiden flights. Global Airlines says it plans to use its fleet of A380 double-decker jets to invigorate the flying experience, courtesy of the unmatched spaciousness offered by the Superjumbo.

James Asquith, who created the online travel platform Holiday Swap in 2017, said: “We extend our warmest welcome to Ian and Pierre to the Global Airlines advisory board, where they will work closely with our team. Vuelos directos desde Johannesburgo y Ciudad del Cabo

La aerolínea South Affrican Airways (SAA) reinaugurará vuelos directos desde Johannesburgo/JNB—São Paulo/Guarulhos/GRU como así itambién vuelos Ciudad del Cabo/CPT—São Paulo/Guarulhos/GRU.

La aerolínea estatal entraba en el rescate societario hacia 2019. En 2020, la aerolínea redujo todos los vuelos y cantidad de aeronaves. Sin embargo, en 2021 la aerolínea emergió del rescate empresarial. Desde entonces, la aerolínea ha estado reanudando lentamente su red de rutas regionales.
