Solomon Airlines incorpora segundo Airbus A320ceo
Solomon Airlines ha tomado entrega del segundo Airbus A320ceo registrado H4-SAL, en el Aeropuerto Internacional Honiara. El Primer Ministro de las Islas Salomón, Manasseh Sogavare, ha expresado recientemente su apoyo inquebrantable a la aerolínea de bandera nacional. Solomon Airlines has taken delivery of the second Airbus A320ceo registered H4-SAL, at Honiara International Airport. The Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands, Manasseh Sogavare, has recently expressed his unwavering support for the national flag carrier. The airline’s strategic plans, including the expansion of its fleet and new routes, will allow service from the Solomon Islands through the island system of Oceania.
The new addition of the Airbus A320ceo with registration H4-SAL, has been leased from Jetstar Australia. The National Provident Fund (NPF) has granted a US$ 3 million loan to Solomon Airlines as strategic financial support that will help the airline’s growth and expansion plans.
One of the significant developments for Solomon Airlines is an agreement with Vanuatu Air, which solidifies the use of its Airbus aircraft. This collaboration with their Melanesian brethren sets the stage for increased connectivity and increased regional cooperation.
The national carrier is actively considering a fifth non-stop flight to Australia and plans to re-enter the Papua New Guinea market. This includes reducing travel time for passengers, simplifying travel visa requirements, and improving travel convenience for inbound and outbound travelers. Furthermore, the project is expected to have a positive impact on the tourism industry, attracting more visitors and stimulating investment in the country.
To support the ambitious expansion into long-haul flights, Solomon Airlines and the Government have committed to upgrading both the international airport and the international terminal. The government has also received a promising partnership indication from the PRC, further strengthening this airport infrastructure development project.
