Alcanza hito aerolínea 100% flota A320neo
Proyecta nuevas rutas en Sudamérica

La low cost chilena SKY Airline alcanzó un hito importante al tener una flota 100% de aeronaves Airbus A320neo. Actualmente, con una flota de 28 aviones entre Chile y Perú, posee la flota más joven a nivel mundial con solo tres años de antigüedad. La estratega de tener la flota unificada de A320neo le permite a la aerolínea de presupuesto ser más eficiente y sostenible, porque estos aviones tienen un ahorro del 20% en combustible.
José Ignacio Dougnac, Director General de la aerolínea, detalló que todas sus aeronaves cuentan con tecnología de última generación, mientras buscan alcanzar la neutralidad en carbono de manera más eficiente para introducir Combustibles de Aviación Sostenibles (SAF) y desarrollar el mercado de compensación de carbono.
La compañía low cost ha anunciado las proyecciones para abrir nuevas rutas en Sudamérica con las modernas aeronaves A320neo y expandir sus servicios hacia más países de la región.
Además, SKY Airlines espera incorporarse al Grupo Abra que componen las aerolíneas Avianca y GOL Linhas Aéreas, para conformar una flota unificada del grupo de 341 aeronaves y con pedidos pendientes de 204 aviones de Boeing y Airbus.
El Director de Operaciones (COO) de Avianca, Frederico Pedreira, durante el evento Wings of Change de la Asociación Internacional de Transporte Aéreo (IATA) 2023, en la Ciudad de México, confirmó que está por entrar al grupo la ultra bajo costo chilena y que el futuro de Avianca será Abra Group Limited, el cual conformaría el grupo más grande de aerolíneas de Latinoamérica, lo que le permitirá a la aerolínea colombiana ser sostenible a futuro.

The Chilean low-cost SKY Airline reached an important milestone by having a fleet of 100% Airbus A320neo aircraft. Currently, with a fleet of 28 aircraft between Chile and Peru, it has the youngest fleet in the world, only three years old. The strategy of having a unified fleet of A320neo allows the budget airline to be more efficient and sustainable because these planes save 20% on fuel.
José Ignacio Dougnac, General Director of the airline, explained that all its aircraft have the latest technology, while they seek to achieve carbon neutrality more efficiently to introduce Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and developing the carbon offset market. The low-cost company has announced projections to open new routes in South America with modern A320neo aircraft and expand its services to more countries in the region.
In addition, SKY Airlines expects to join the Abra Group made up of the airlines Avianca and GOL Linhas Aéreas, to form a unified fleet of the group of 341 aircraft and with pending orders for 204 Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
