Avelo Airlines presenta primer destino en las Antillas
Avelo Airlines ha anunciado el primer destino internacional fuera de los Estados Unidos continentales hacia el Caribe. La compañía de presupuesto estadounidense ha informado esta semana un servicio sin escalas entre el Aeropuerto Tweed-New Haven (HVN) en Connecticut y el Aeropuerto Internacional San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín (SJU) de Puerto Rico. La ruta sin escalas comenzará el 15 de Noviembre de 2023. Volará con dos frecuencias semanales (2Frq/S) los Miércoles y Sábados. Ofrece una tarifa promocional de 18 vuelos desde New Haven. Las tarifas de ida a Puerto Rico comienzan en US$ 99 por tiempo limitado.
En un comunicado, el Presidente y CEO de Avelo Airlines, Andrew Levy, dijo: “Mucha gente ha estado esperando ansiosamente esta noticia. Con un gran y creciente número de puertorriqueños que llaman hogar a Connecticut, este servicio hará que volver a conectarse con amigos y familiares sea más fácil y más asequible que nunca. Y con el invierno a la vuelta de la esquina, este tesoro de la isla caribeña es el último ejemplo de cómo Avelo está inspirando los viajes de maneras nuevas y emocionantes para el sur de Connecticut”.

Me complace ver el crecimiento de Avelo en los últimos dos años y continuaré luchando para avanzar en la infraestructura de viajes aéreos y los aeropuertos locales de nuestro estado”, dijo el Senador estadounidense Richard Blumenthal en un comunicado.

Avelo Airlines has announced the first international destination outside the continental United States to the Caribbean. The American budget company has reported this week a non-stop service between the Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut and the San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in Puerto Rico. The non-stop route will begin on November 15, 2023. It will fly with two weekly frequencies (2Frq/S) on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It offers a promotional rate of 18 flights from New Haven. One-way fares to Puerto Rico start at US$ 99 for a limited time.

“This new route is a significant milestone for Avelo, but also a huge victory for Connecticut’s sizable Puerto Rican population who now have another affordable and convenient way to travel home to see friends and family. I am pleased to see Avelo’s growth over the past few years. past two years and I will continue to fight to advance our state’s air travel infrastructure and local airports”, US Senator Richard Blumenthal said in a statement.
