Gremios Argentina y Chile firman “Acuerdo de Cooperación”
Las organizaciones sindicales de las aerolíneas JetSMART Airlines Chile y JetSMART Airlines Argentina acordaron la creación de una Federación Americana de trabajadores de empresas de Aviación Low Cost con el fin de englobar, promover y defender las necesidades de cada uno de sus sindicatos.
Representes de la Asociación Sindical de Trabajadores de JetSMART de Argentina y del Sindicato de Pilotos JetSMART (SPJS) de Chile firmaron un “Acuerdo de Entendimiento, Cooperación y Acción Sindical conjunta” para defender sus derechos laborales y fomentar el crecimiento de los sindicatos low cost. La intención de las partes quedó plasmada en un documento en el que se comprometieron a crear un grupo técnico conformado por asociados de ambos países, que actuarán coordinadamente para la investigación del estado de operación de las compañías de bajo coste en el mundo y tomar contacto con organizaciones de trabajadores del mismo ámbito para acordar acciones comunes dentro y fuera de las fronteras de los países de América Latina.
La creación de una Federación Americana de trabajadores de empresas de Aviación Low Cost tendrá como fin de englobar, promover y defender las necesidades de cada uno de sus sindicatos y de compartir información referente a la empresa empleadora y demás firmas del sector. En lo que respecta a la resolución de conflictos, ASTJ y SPJS Chile acordaron la solidaridad recíproca entre los dos sindicatos para el supuesto de conflictos que se puedan suscitar con JetSMART, comprometiéndose a crear un ámbito paritario entre la empresa y los sindicatos con el fin de negociar condiciones de trabajo y salariales en base al principio del trabajo justo, remuneración justa.
El acuerdo también señala que, en caso de discrepancias sobre las decisiones o determinaciones a las que lleguen los firmantes de este acuerdo, será la asamblea del sindicato de cada país quien decida la aplicabilidad o no de dichas decisiones y o determinaciones. Además, se destaca la creación de grupos mixtos de trabajadores de ambos sindicatos para capacitación profesional y sindical y la necesidad de crear un ámbito de representación ante la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT) y otras instituciones internacionales.

The union organizations of the airlines JetSMART Airlines Chile and JetSMART Airlines Argentina agreed to the creation of an American Federation of Workers of Low-Cost Aviation companies in order to encompass, promote and defend the needs of each of their unions.
Representatives of the JetSMART Workers Union Association of Argentina and the JetSMART Pilots Union (SPJS) of Chile signed an “Agreement of Understanding, Cooperation, and Joint Union Action” to defend their labor rights and promote the growth of low-cost unions. The intention of the parties was reflected in a document in which they promised to create a technical group made up of associates from both countries, who will act in coordination to investigate the state of operation of low-cost companies in the world and make contact with worker organizations in the same field to agree on common actions within and outside the borders of Latin American countries.
The creation of an American Federation of Workers of Low Cost Aviation companies will have the purpose of encompassing, promoting, and defending the needs of each of their unions and sharing information regarding the employing company and other firms in the sector. With regard to conflict resolution, ASTJ, and SPJS Chile agreed to mutual solidarity between the two unions in the event of conflicts that may arise with JetSMART, committing to create a level playing field between the company and the unions in order to negotiate working and salary conditions based on the principle of fair work, fair remuneration.
The agreement also states that, in case of discrepancies regarding the decisions or determinations reached by the signatories of this agreement, it will be the assembly of the union of each country that decides the applicability or not of said decisions and/or determinations. In addition, it highlights the creation of mixed groups of workers from both unions for professional and union training and the need to create a field of representation before the International Labor Organization (ILO) and other international institutions.
