Aerolíneas Argentinas redujo 61% déficit primer semestre 2023
Aerolíneas Argentinas ha presentado su balance semestral del 1S2023 aprobado por el directorio y auditado por la consultora internacional KPMG, que dio un resultado negativo de US$ 48 millones de Dólares, reduciendo en un 61% las pérdidas en el primer semestre de este año en comparación con el mismo período del 2022, según el balance aprobado este jueves por el directorio de la compañía, informaron fuentes de la línea de bandera. Con referencia al resultado de 2019, último año previo a la pandemia, la reducción del déficit supera el 80%.
La empresa estatal presentó, por primera vez, su balance semestral que arrojó como resultado una reducción de las pérdidas del 61% respecto a 2022, el mejor año desde su estatización. El balance, aprobado el Jueves 10/08 por el directorio de la compañía y auditado por la consultora holandesa KPMG, dio un resultado negativo de US$ 48 millones de Dólares.
Desde la compañía aérea subrayaron que en lo que va del corriente año Aerolíneas no ha recibido fondos asignados en el Presupuesto 2023. Actualmente, los fondos girados por el Estado nacional alcanzan los US$ 6.000 millones, correspondientes al Presupuesto de 2022, que se encuentra en un 70% de ejecución. Si se toma como referencia el resultado de 2019, previo a la pandemia, la reducción del déficit supera el 80%, tras haber tenido en ese año un resultado negativo de US$ 667 millones de Dólares.
En un comunicado de prensa, Aerolíneas Argentinas argumentó que la difusión de balances semestrales son una práctica que tiene por objetivo mejorar la transparencia, eficiencia y trazabilidad. Pablo Ceriani, Presidente de la compañía, subrayó que el primer balance semestral de Aerolíneas marcó “una reducción del déficit del 61% respecto a 2022. En estos 6 meses, la compañía tuvo un déficit de US$ 48M, un 80% menos que el mismo período de 2019. Esta reducción significativa del déficit, se debe al proceso de incremento de la productividad y la eficiencia que comenzó con la fusión de Aerolíneas y Austral, y que continúa con la mejora de todos nuestros procesos corporativos”, remarcó el funcionario.
El CEO de Aerolíneas destacó que “en lo que va del año, no hemos recibido fondos correspondientes al presupuesto 2023 y se ejecutó del presupuesto 2022 sólo en un 70%. Aerolíneas camina hacia la sostenibilidad, bate récord de pasajeros y conecta más y mejor a los argentinos. El balance es un resultado excelente y que, proyectado a un corto o mediano plazo, indica que vamos camino a la sostenibilidad económica. Hoy tenemos una empresa con niveles mínimos históricos de pérdidas, que vuela a nuevos destinos, con nuevas rutas federales, con más aviones y con récords de pasajeros. Esto demuestra que el crecimiento es la vía adecuada para lograr una Aerolíneas Argentinas económicamente eficiente y con un rol estratégico en la conectividad y el desarrollo del país”.
Controversia oficialismo vs oposición
La reducción del déficit informada por la compañía estatal se da en medio de la controversia existente entre el oficialismo y oposición política de cara al actual proceso electoral. Desde el Gobierno resaltan el valor que tiene Aerolíneas como línea de bandera, propiciando la conectividad en el país y llegando a destinos a los cuales las empresas privadas no llegan, porque no resultan rentables. Puntualizan, además que, a la reducción notable del déficit, se suma la jerarquización de la empresa a partir del incremento de su flota, la suma de rutas transversales, sin pasar por Buenos Aires y la generación de recursos para el Estado a través del Turismo y la producción. En ese sentido, en el ámbito operativo, el informe contable destaca la adquisición de 5 aeronaves en los primeros 6 meses de 2023, elevando la flota operativa a 81 aviones, mientras que se espera que para Septiembre 2023 el avión número 82 se sume a la flota. En el transcurso de este año, la compañía ha transportado a más de 7.7 millones de pasajeros y, según las proyecciones, superará ampliamente la cifra de 12.999.295 pasajeros transportados en 2019.
Perspectivas políticas
Desde gran parte de la oposición, por el contrario, sostienen que Aerolíneas no puede seguir recibiendo dinero del Estado e incluso plantean la posibilidad de volver a privatizar la compañía.
“En casi ningún país del mundo quedan aerolíneas de bandera, ya son todas privadas. Acá las trajimos nosotros, las low cost, y en este momento tenemos gente volando y nadie está pagando porque alguien vuelve en Flybondi o JetSMART. En cambio, por cada uno que viaja en Aerolíneas lo pagamos todos”, dijo en su momento el jefe de Gobierno porteño y precandidato a la presidencia por Juntos por el Cambio (JXC), Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
En una sintonía similar, Patricia Bullrich, también precandidata a presidenta por Juntos por el Cambio, sostuvo que “las empresas (del Estado) tienen que financiarse, es un gasto que utiliza una cantidad minoritaria de personas, proponiendo volver la política de cielos abiertos”.
Sobre el tema también se pronunció Javier Milei, candidato a Presidente por La Libertad Avanza, al señalar que “el de Aerolíneas es uno de los casos más escandalosos. No debería estar en manos del Estado y yo la privatizaría”.
A modo de respuesta a estos planteamientos, Pablo Ceriani dijo que “la amenaza de cerrar Aerolíneas Argentinas es extemporánea. La visión neoliberal de ‘recortar gastos’ que proponen desde la oposición no tiene en cuenta que hay gastos, que, en realidad, son inversiones que generan ingresos. Aerolíneas hoy conecta a Bs As con 39 destinos nacionales. A 22 de esos 39, es la única empresa que vuela”.
En Julio 2023 el titular del PJ bonaerense y diputado nacional, Máximo Kirchner, presentó un proyecto con el que busca reformar la ley de estatización de Aerolíneas Argentinas para prohibir la transferencias de acciones de la línea área sin la autorización de los dos tercios de los miembros de la Cámara de Diputados y del Senado. La iniciativa apunta a evitar que en el futuro se intente un desguace sin la intervención del Congreso.

Controversy of the ruling party vs opposition
The deficit reduction reported by the state company occurs in the midst of the existing controversy between the ruling party and the political opposition in the face of the current electoral process. From the Government they highlight the value that Aerolíneas has as a flag line, promoting connectivity in the country and reaching destinations that private companies do not reach because they are not profitable. They also point out that, to the notable reduction of the deficit, the hierarchization of the company is added from the increase in its fleet, the sum of transversal routes, without going through Buenos Aires, and the generation of resources for the State through Tourism and production. Political perspectives
On the contrary, a large part of the opposition maintains that Aerolíneas cannot continue receiving money from the State and even raises the possibility of privatizing the company again.

We brought them here, a low cost, and at this moment we have people flying and nobody is paying because someone returns on Flybondi or JetSMART. Instead, for each We all pay for one that travels by airlines”, said the head of the Buenos Aires government and candidate for the presidency for Together for Change (JXC), Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
