Cathay anuncia planes compra 32 Airbus narrowbody

Cathay Pacific Airways ha anunciado el Jueves 10/08 que tiene la intención de comprar hasta 32 aviones de la familia Airbus A321neo y A320neo para invertir y actualizar su flota, lo que eleva las entregas de nuevos aviones de la aerolínea a más de setenta. “Estos aviones cuentan con las últimas mejoras tecnológicas para proporcionar un viaje más silencioso, más cómodo y más eficiente en combustible para nuestros clientes”, dijo el Director Ejecutivo de Cathay Group, Ronald Lam.

Cathay señaló el Miércoles 09/08 que recibiría 32 nuevos aviones Airbus de pasillo único para 2029 sin revelar si el avión sería comprado o arrendado. El nuevo avión se unirá a las flotas de Cathay Pacific para 2029 y se espera que cubra rutas de destino en China continental y en otras partes de Asia. La compañía, sin embargo, no reveló un valor de compra para los nuevos pedidos.

Cathay ha recibido ttrece unidades de su pedido inicial de 32 A321neo que realizó en 2017, y la nueva compra se suma a otros 32 aviones Airbus de pasillo único a la flota del grupo.

Por separado, la aerolínea reportó anteriormente una ganancia de HK$ 4.3 mil millones/US$ 550.23 millones para la primera mitad de 2023, su mejor resultado provisional en más de una década y un cambio de pérdida en los tres años anteriores.

Cathay Pacific Airways announced on Thursday 08/10 that it intends to purchase up to 32 Airbus A321neo and A320neo family aircraft to invest in and upgrade its fleet, bringing the airline’s new aircraft deliveries to over seventy. “These aircraft feature the latest technological enhancements to provide a quieter, more comfortable, and more fuel-efficient ride for our customers”, said Cathay Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Lam.

Cathay said on Wednesday 09/08 that it would take delivery of 32 new single-aisle Airbus aircraft by 2029 without disclosing whether the aircraft would be purchased or leased. The new aircraft will join Cathay Pacific fleets by 2029 and is expected to serve destination routes in mainland China and other parts of Asia. The company, however, did not disclose a purchase value for the new orders.

Cathay has taken delivery of thirteen of its initial order for 32 A321neo placed in 2017, and the new order adds another 32 Airbus single-aisle aircraft to the group’s fleet.

Separately, the airline previously reported a profit of HK$ 4.3 billion/US$ 550.23 million for the first half of 2023, its best interim result in more than a decade and a turnaround from a loss in the previous three years.
