JetSMART Argentina suspende vuelos a Comodoro Rivadavia
JetSMART Airlines Argentina ha anunciado que a partir del 1 de Septiembre de 2023 dejará de volar entre Buenos Aires (AEP) y Comodoro Rivadavia (CRD). La razón por la cancelación de la ruta explicaron que obedece a la estrategia de lograr la máxima eficiencia en las rutas domésticas. El destino de la costa patagónica ha desarrollado una oferta suficiente, mientras que la línea aérea de presupuesto analizará la situación en seis meses para determinar su retorno.
JetSMART Argentina anunció que dejará de volar entre Buenos Aires y Comodoro Rivadavia, uno de los trece destinos que forman parte de su red de cabotaje. La razón por la que la low-cost dejará de operar la ruta que inauguró en 2021, tras reanudar las actividades luego de la pandemia, está relacionada con una oferta suficiente de vuelos a esa ciudad chubutense. Sin embargo, la decisión no es determinante. “La ruta Buenos Aires—Comodoro Rivadavia no está alcanzando los criterios necesarios para ser operada por la empresa de modo sostenible. Por este motivo, resolvimos suspender la venta de pasajes por 180 días, hasta que volvamos a revisar las condiciones y definir cómo avanzar”, explicó la compañía en un comunicado.
La aerolínea tomó la decisión con la certeza de que ambos destinos cuentan con otras dos propuestas de conectividad para sus habitantes Aerolíneas Argentinas y Flybondi, y resaltó que “habrá oportunidad de desarrollar nuevos itinerarios y destinos”. JetSMART se concentrará en reforzar vuelos en destinos como Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza y Salta, en los que amplió su conectividad.
Quienes tengan pasajes adquiridos deben realizar la gestión con la compañía para acceder a una de las tres opciones que se les ofrece: cambio de fecha para viajar hasta el 31 de Agosto de 2023, devolución del dinero abonado o modificación del ticket por otro tramo dentro del país. “Los pasajeros que habían comprado sus boletos para la ruta desde el 1 de Septiembre de 2023 están siendo contactados para ofrecerles alternativas”, aseguró, y agregó que adicionalmente a la opción que se elija recibirán “una atención comercial consistente en una gift card en servicios dentro de los próximos diez días”, expresaron en JetSMART Airlines Argentina.

“The Buenos Aires-Comodoro Rivadavia route is not meeting the necessary criteria to be operated by the company in a sustainable manner. For this reason, we decided to suspend the sale of tickets for 180 days, until we review the conditions again and define how to move forward”, the company explained in a statement. The airline made the decision with the certainty that both destinations have two other connectivity proposals for their inhabitants Aerolíneas Argentinas and Flybondi, and stressed that “there will be an opportunity to develop new itineraries and destinations”. JetSMART will focus on reinforcing flights to destinations such as Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza, and Salta, where it has expanded its connectivity. Those who have purchased tickets must manage with the company to access one of the three options offered: change of date to travel until August 31, 2023, refund of the money paid, or modification of the ticket for another section within the country. “Passengers who had purchased their tickets for the route from September 1, 2023, are being contacted to offer them alternatives”, he assured, adding that in addition to the option chosen, they will receive “commercial attention consisting of a gift card in services within the next ten days”, they expressed in JetSMART Airlines Argentina.
