Operaciones 737 MAX a cinco rutas internacionales a partir 10/2023
Malaysia Airlines ha anunciado la incorporación de cinco rutas internacionales para ser servidas con Boeing 737-8 MAX hacia Denpasar y Yakarta (Indonesia), Katmandú (Nepal), Manila (Filipinas) y Phuket (Thailandia). Las rutas nacionales son Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Miri y Penang que probablemente comenzarán a fines de octubre de este año, dijeron fuentes de la industria. Se cree que las operaciones planificadas para el Boeing 737-8 MAX para estas rutas son para la temporada de invierno 2023/2024 del norte.
La fuente de la aerolínea dijo que las aerolíneas comerciales generalmente tienen dos horarios que siguen para solicitar franjas horarias en el aeropuerto: el horario de verano (de Marzo a Octubre) y el horario de invierno (de Octubre a Marzo).
La disponibilidad de las rutas internacionales con aeronaves Boeing 737-8 MAX estaría operando la ruta Kuala Lumpur—Phuket a partir de Octubre 2023, Kuala Lumpur—Jakarta a partir de Noviembre 2023 y Kuala Lumpur—Manila a partir de Diciembre 2023. Malaysia Airlines has announced the addition of five international routes to be served by Boeing 737-8 MAX to Denpasar and Jakarta (Indonesia), Kathmandu (Nepal), Manila (Philippines), and Phuket (Thailand). The domestic routes are Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Miri, and Penang which are likely to start at the end of October this year, industry sources said. Planned operations for the Boeing 737-8 MAX for these routes are believed to be for the 2023/2024 northern winter season.
The airline source said that commercial airlines generally have two times they follow to request slots at the airport: summertime (from March to October) and wintertime (from October to March).
The availability of international routes with Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft would be operating the Kuala Lumpur-Phuket route from October 2023, Kuala Lumpur-Jakarta from November 2023, and Kuala Lumpur-Manila from December 2023. The Kuala routes Lumpur—Denpasar and Kuala Lumpur—Kathmandu will start in March 2024.
Malaysia Airlines, a subsidiary of Malaysia Aviation Group, ordered 25 narrow-body Boeing 737-8 MAXs in 2016 as part of its fleet modernization plan.
The national carrier will welcome its first Boeing 737 MAX in late August 2023. The fleet will gradually grow to 25 aircraft by 2026.
On July 19, 2023, Malaysia Airlines shared photos of its new livery on the plane with the repositioning of its iconic “wau” logo to reflect its determination to move forward with optimism and energy. The new livery also displays an exquisite gold-toned songket motif that pays homage to Malaysia’s vibrant cultural heritage.
