Departamento Transporte incrementará vuelos a China
El Departamento de Transporte (DOT) de Estados Unidos ha autorizado un incremento de los vuelos hacia la República Popular de China a partir del 1 de Septiembre de 2023 como parte de un acuerdo entre Estados Unidos y China que podrán operar seis vuelos semanales adicionales ida y vuelta, duplicando la cantidad de frecuencias hacia 10/2023. La nueva autorización se produce después de que se levantaron las restricciones de la pandemia de COVID-19. Además, aumentará a veinticuatro vuelos para cada país a partir del 29 de Octubre de 2023 entre las líneas aéreas American Airlines, Delta Air Lines y United Airlines y seis aerolíneas chinas. Actualmente, el número de vuelos está limitado a doce frecuencias semanales para cada país.
“El compromiso constante del DOT y el Departamento de Estado con los funcionarios chinos hizo posible este paso importante, por lo que nuestro objetivo es un entorno mejorado en el que las aerolíneas de ambas partes puedan ejercer sus derechos bilaterales para mantener un equilibrio competitivo y una oportunidad justa e igualitaria entre las aerolíneas estadounidenses y chinas”, ha expresado el Departamento de Transporte.
