Nuevo pedido aeronaves Boeing 737 NG/MAX
La compañía lessor Air Lease Corporation (ALC) firma acuerdo con Royal Air Maroc (RAM) por cinco aviones Boeing 737 NG/MAX. La aerolínea marroquí dijo que el acuerdo es un paso hacia la modernización de su flota, la mejora de las experiencias de los pasajeros y el logro de sus objetivos de sostenibilidad.
La compañía estadounidense de arrendamiento de aviones Air Lease Corporation anunció el Miércoles 16/08 la firma de contratos de arrendamiento a largo plazo con la aerolínea nacional marroquí Royal Air Maroc. Air Lease firma acuerdo valorado en US$ 300 millones de Dólares con Royal Air Maroc por un nuevo pedido de aeronaves Boeing 737 de tercera y cuarta generación. El acuerdo implica el arrendamiento de cinco aviones Boeing 737, que abarcan cuatro nuevos Boeing 737-8 MAX y un solo Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, que se unirán a la flota de la aerolínea de bandera marroquí en 2024. Estas adiciones provienen de la cartera de pedidos existente de ALC con Boeing y están configuradas para complementar el avión ya operativo propiedad de ALC operado por RAM, indicó la compañía con sede en Los Ángeles en un comunicado de prensa.
Al comentar sobre el acuerdo, el Presidente Ejecutivo de Air Lease Corporation, Steven F. Udvar-Házy, dijo: “ALC se complace en anunciar esta colocación de arrendamiento para cinco aviones Boeing 737 con Royal Air Maroc. La compañía estadounidense espera construir una “relación a largo plazo con RAM a medida que continúan modernizando su flota y haciendo crecer su red, así como maximizar su ventaja competitiva con los aviones más eficientes en combustible del mercado”.
Mientras tanto, el Director Ejecutivo de Royal Air Maroc, Abdelhamid Addou, enfatizó el impacto positivo que la asociación con ALC y el nuevo avión tendrían en las operaciones de la aerolínea. “A través de este acuerdo con socios estimados como ALC, Royal Air Maroc recibirá aviones adicionales que fortalecerán y modernizarán nuestra flota operativa. El nuevo avión permitirá a RAM mejorar constantemente la calidad del servicio para nuestros clientes, al tiempo que reduce nuestra huella de carbono en línea con nuestro compromiso ambiental”, dijo Abdelhamid Addou.
En Julio 2023, RAM comenzó a implementar planes como parte de su estrategia 2023-2037, que incluye aumentar el número de aviones en su flota de 50 a 200. Esta expansión permitirá a la compañía operar en 143 destinos, frente a los 99 destinos en 44 países donde opera actualmente.

Lessor Air Lease Corporation (ALC) signs an agreement with Royal Air Maroc (RAM) for five Boeing 737 MAX/NG aircraft. The Moroccan airline said the agreement is a step towards modernizing its fleet, improving passenger experiences, and achieving its sustainability goals.
The American aircraft leasing company Air Lease Corporation announced on Wednesday 08/16 the signing of long-term leasing contracts with the Moroccan national airline Royal Air Maroc. Air Lease signs an agreement valued at US$ 300 million with Royal Air Maroc for a new order for third and fourth-generation Boeing 737 aircraft. The agreement involves the lease of five Boeing 737 aircraft, comprising four new Boeing 737-8 MAX and a single Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, which will join the Moroccan flag carrier’s fleet in 2024. These additions come from the ALC’s existing order book with Boeing and are configured to complement the already operational ALC-owned aircraft operated by RAM, the Los Angeles-based company said in a press release.
Commenting on the deal, Air Lease Corporation Executive Chairman Steven F. Udvar-Házy said: “ALC is pleased to announce this lease placement for five Boeing 737 aircraft with Royal Air Maroc. The US company looks forward to building one long-term relationship with RAM as they continue to modernize their fleet and grow their network, as well as maximize their competitive advantage with the most fuel-efficient aircraft on the market”.
Meanwhile, Royal Air Maroc Chief Executive Officer Abdelhamid Addou emphasized the positive impact that the partnership with ALC and the new aircraft would have on the airline’s operations. “Through this agreement with esteemed partners such as ALC, Royal Air Maroc will receive additional aircraft that will strengthen and modernize our operational fleet. The new aircraft will allow RAM to constantly improve the quality of service for our customers while reducing our carbon footprint. in line with our environmental commitment”, said Abdelhamid Addou.
