Amaszonas acusa Gobierno Bolivia por crisis

Amaszonas by Nella continúa atravesando un difícil entorno económico tras la puesta en tierra de sus aeronaves en medio de una grave crisis económica y el un conflicto de intereses con el Gobierno boliviano. La aerolínea privada ha obligado a paralizar todas sus operaciones a la espera de que se le restituyan las matrículas de cuatro aviones Embraer E190.

El conflicto de Amaszonas continúa sin destrabarse con el lessor GY Aviation, la empresa de leasing de aviones de Irlanda, que exige el pago de deudas por los aviones, mientras que por parte del Gobierno de Bolivia decidió retirar las matrículas de cuatro de los aviones de su flota. Como respuesta, la compañía acudió a los Tribunales que decidieron que cautelarmente se volviera a matricular los aviones para que sigan operando, mientras se determine el fondo de la cuestión. Amaszonas se ha cobijado bajo el amparo constitucional para seguir operando. Pero el Ministro de Transportes y Obras Públicas no ha tomado decisión alguna, por lo que la aerolínea continúa inoperativa.

Amaszonas es una pequeña aerolínea regional que cubre rutas interiores en Bolivia además de enlazar con Chile y Paraguay. En un tiempo tuvo una filial en Uruguay y Paraguay.

Mauricio Souza, el brasileño propietario de la compañía, CEO del grupo Nella Línhas Aéras Ltd. se ha mostrado muy duro con el ministro responsable, diciendo que está actuando para defender el monopolio de Boliviana de Aviación (BoA), la compañía aérea del estado. “Si el objetivo es insistir con el cierre de la empresa para consolidar el monopolio estatal, eso tendrá un costo que se definirá en los tribunales de Estados Unidos y Brasil. Toda mi inversión tiene que volver porque si el gobierno quiere cerrar mi compañía para poner su compañía, que era ineficiente, para tener un monopolio, va a tener que pagarme”, expresó Mauricio Souza. El CEO de Amaszonas cuantifica el reclamo que asciende en US$ 50 millones el importe de la indemnización. Mientras tando, Amaszonas arrastra una deuda de unos US$ 12 millones de Dólares resultado de la crisis de la pandemia.

Las autoridades aeronáuticas bolivianas autorizaron a la aerolínea Nella Airlines Bolivia a operar en vuelos regulares de pasajero y de carga. La flamante compañía, que sustituye a Amaszonas by Nella, recibió la concesión con una vigencia de cinco años
