The Boeing Company is preparing to restart deliveries of 737 MAX aircraft to its customers in China amid the visit of the United States Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, to restore trade agreements and promote new negotiations between the two countries.
Despite some encouraging moves at specific times, Boeing has not delivered any 737 MAX to China for four years after approvals from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Chinese airlines have restarted operations with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, but the American manufacturer has still not been able to restore new aircraft deliveries to the eastern country.
Boeing has not made new deliveries of any 737 MAX models in China. But this could be about to change. Boeing has previously remarketed some single-aisle 737 MAXs originally ordered by airlines in China. In total, Boeing has relocated 55 Boeing 737 MAXs to other customers. Some sources suggest that Air India could pick up some of these planes. Two 737s were recently put out in storage. These planes should have gone to Chinese carriers years ago. But, the American automaker still has 85 units of the 737 MAX that the automaker intends to deliver to its Chinese customers.
Boeing could restart 737 MAX deliveries to airlines in China within weeks. The first planes look set to go to China Southern Airlines. Boeing has refused to confirm this story, beyond stating that it is supporting its Chinese customers. However, the manufacturer is moving planes to places where they are usually prepared for delivery. This work can be substantial, for aircraft that have been in storage for so long.
Beyond the grounding of the 737 MAX, Boeing has struggled with both deliveries and orders for new planes from China, due to international trade tensions. Airbus won a large order for A320neo family jets from China in 2022, despite similar tensions with European countries.
Aviation analysts agree that China needs new planes as its aviation industry recovers and expands. Chinese carriers may be taking deliveries of the homegrown COMAC C919, but production of this aircraft remains very slow. In addition, it is subject to the same international supply chain bottlenecks as those affecting Airbus and Boeing.

Airbus continúa desarrollo industrial en Mississippi

Senator Roger Wicker served in the Air Force before serving in Congress. He said it feels good that the state is part of supplying aircraft for such essential defense functions. “This is a national defense solution, these helicopters that we build here in Mississippi will help us with border protection, and homeland security and will continue to help the military as well”, Roger Wicker said.
US Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith was in the Mississippi Legislature when what was then Eurocopter landed in the so-called Golden Triangle. She said seeing the impact the company has had over the last twenty years makes her proud. “To be a part of homeland security, you know, we know what the border crisis is, to know that Mississippi plays a big part in that. To know that we can build on 20 years of success and look forward to better things to come, maybe as we have in the past”, said Cindy Hyde-Smith.
Airbus Helicopters flying out of the Golden Triangle are having an impact around the world, but the company’s impact at home is just as important.

They can provide not just for Mississippi but for this entire nation”, said Cindy Hyde-Smith.

La Autoridad de Aviación de Moldavia (AAC) ha informado la suspensión del Certificado de Operador Aéreo (AOC) de Air Moldova debido a que no existen aeronaves con certificados de aeronavegabilidad válidos. El único avión que Air Moldova tiene actualmente está en mantenimiento y no ha podido completar el trabajo programado desde Abril 2023.
La aerolínea nacional de Moldavia opera con un solo avión Airbus A320-200 con el registro 9U-MLD. Este A320, que tiene 18,5 años, ha estado en mantenimiento desde Abril de 2023, pero el trabajo programado aún no se ha completado. El certificado de navegabilidad del A320 de Air Moldova expiró el 21 de Agosto de 2023. La suspensión AOC de Air Moldova permanecerá vigente hasta el 31 de Octubre de 2023.
El declive de la aerolínea se encuentra enmarcado en varios factores, como la presunta corrupción en la administración anterior, el impacto de la pandemia y el cierre del espacio aéreo ucraniano debido a la invasión rusa en la República de Ucrania.
La Agencia Aeronáutica de Moldavia ha expreresado en su comunicado: “En el contexto de la cancelación de todos los vuelos por parte del operador aéreo privado Air Moldova, instamos a los pasajeros a reclamar sus derechos, solicitando al operador aéreo que reembolse el costo de los boletos. Las solicitudes y quejas se dirigirán a la compañía aérea y, posteriormente, en caso de un resultado insatisfactorio, a la Autoridad de Aviación Civil”.
Air Moldova había suspendido en Mayo de 2023 todas las operaciones y presentó una solicitud para una reestructuración acelerada de la compañía ante el Tribunal para evitar que la aerolínea entre en bancarrota y para abordar sus desafíos operativos y financieros para un proceso de reestructuración que facilitará posibles inversiones en Air Moldova por un valor de US$ 50 millones. Las razones de este éxito en Colombia han aumentado con el paso de los años, pues la compañía inició operaciones en 2008 con vuelos a Bogotá y Cartagena. Más adelante incrementó su oferta hasta llegar en la actualidad a las ciudades de Armenia, Barranquilla, Cali, Medellín y Bucaramanga.

El Lufthansa Group anunció la apertura de una nueva aerolínea regional hace meses atrás como Lufthansa City Airlines. Mientras la autoridad alemana de la aviación, la Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) le concedió el Certificado de Operador Aéreo (AOC), la flota actual de la startup es de un (1) Airbus 319 que pertenecía a Lufthansa City Line, la otra aerolínea del grupo. El inicio de operaciones se había establecido para el inicio del verano europeo 2023, aunque no hay una nueva fecha proyectada.
El fuerte crecimiento de la demanda de vuelos y la escasez de aeronaves y personal disponible en el mercado, están postergando el inicio de operaciones de la nueva aerolínea. Mientras, entre bastidores de dice que las propias compañías del grupo se roban los trabajadores entre ellas.

Air Canada ha anunciado la incorporación de una nueva ruta comercial entre Toronto (Canadá) y Monterrey (México). La aerolínea canadiense, junto con la Secretaría de Turismo de Nuevo León de México y Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA), presentaron de manera oficial la nueva ruta Toronto/YYZ—Monterrey/MTY, con cuatro frecuencias semanales (4Frq/S), convirtiéndose en la única aerolínea canadiense en ofrecer vuelos directos y sin escalas entre ambos destinos. El primer vuelo procedente desde Toronto será el 29 de Octubre del 2023, mientras que el primer vuelo de salida de Monterrey con destino a Toronto se realizará el 30 de Octubre de 2023. Con la inauguración de esta ruta, el Aeropuerto Internacional de Monterrey fortalece su red de conectividad internacional y aumenta su oferta de vuelos regulares.
El vuelo será operado con cuatro frecuencias semanales con aeronaves regionales Airbus A220-300 en una configuración de 12 asientos en Clase Ejecutiva y 125 en Económica. Los días y horarios de los vuelos se desarrollarán: Toronto/YYZ—Monterrey/MTY despegando a las 18:00 los Lunes, Miércoles, Viernes y Domingo. El retorno Monterrey/MTY—Toronto/YYZ los Lunes, Martes, Jueves y Sábado despegando a las 10:10.
Maricarmen Martínez Villarreal, Secretaria de Turismo de Nuevo León, expresó su beneplácito por este hecho relevante para las relaciones entre ambas naciones: “Hoy estamos haciendo historia por el anuncio del inicio de operaciones de Air Canada, la cual conectará por primera vez de manera directa a Nuevo León con Toronto, ayudando a reforzar los lazos comerciales y turísticos entre México y Canadá, reafirmando que Nuevo León está en la mira internacional”.

La ruta Toronto—Monterrey estará disponible durante todo el año, con cuatro frecuencias semanales a bordo de modernas aeronaves regionales Airbus A220-300. Los clientes de Air Canada podrán permanecer en Toronto o conectar el mismo día con 28 destinos dentro de Canadá o continuar su viaje hacia cualquiera de las 55 rutas internacionales, teniendo así un total de 83 opciones, para decidir la más conveniente, de acuerdo con su plan de viaje.
Por su parte, el Vicepresidente de Ventas Internacionales de la aerolínea, Virgilio Russi, declaró: “Para Air Canada, siendo la única aerolínea con vuelos directos a Canadá, iniciar, mantener y fortalecer la conectividad entre Monterrey y Toronto, a través de esta nueva ruta, refuerza el enlace ya existente entre una de las ciudades industriales y de negocios más importantes en México, con uno de los principales centros económicos y culturales de Canadá”. “La apertura de esta ruta permitirá generar oportunidades en mercados atractivos y que satisfagan la creciente demanda de vuelos que la ciudad requiere”, mencionó Ricardo Dueñas, Director General de OMA.
La Secretaría de Turismo de México ha comunicado que en 2023 hasta la fecha, más de 1.306.028 pasajeros procedentes de Canadá visitaron México representando un 14.4% del total de visitantes aéreos internacionales en México, posicionando a Canadá se posiciona como el segundo país que más visitantes envió a México vía aérea, detrás de Estados Unidos.
