JetSMART contará con avión A320neo y nueva tripulación
La nueva filial JetSMART Airlines Colombia se encuentra recibiendo su primer avión Airbus A320neo fabricado en Mobile, Estado de Alabama, Estados Unidos. Este hará parte de la fila de flotas áreas que marcará el inició de las operaciones de la filial suramericana en Colombia. JetSMART Airlines Group ha tomado entrega de su aeronave número 26 como parte de la expansión de los servicios de red de todo el grupo en Sudamérica.
A principios del 2023, la Aeronáutica Civil de Colombia ha dado el aval a la aerolínea de bajo costo controlada por el fondo de inversión estadounidense Indigo Partners para comenzar el proceso de certificación y operar vuelos domésticos en Colombia. JetSMART Airlines Colombia es la cuarta filial después de establecerse en Chile, Argentina y Perú.
La compañía da la bienvenida al 26º Airbus A320neo que ha sido entregado el 24/08 luciendo un esquema típico de librea de una guacamaya roja que se convertirá en la primera aeronave en operar vuelos domésticos en Colombia una vez que se otorgue la autorización para tales operaciones en el país.
JetSMART está buscando abrir una sucursal doméstica en Colombia, luego de éxitos similares en Chile, Argentina y Perú. JetSMART Colombia operará 27 rutas domésticas y aprovechar la brecha de mercado que dejó tras las quiebras de Viva Air y Ultra Air en el país sudamericano.
