Hawaiian busca reemplazar Boeing 717
Hawaiian Airlines ha anunciado la decisión de reemplazo de flota del Boeing 717 para el 1Q2024. La aerolínea estadounidense planea un reemplazo de la línea de aeronaves a fines de 2023 o principios de 2024, dijo el Presidente Ejecutivo Peter Ingram: “Estamos en medio de un trabajo de análisis. [La decisión] nos posicionará para avanzar hacia el reemplazo de esa flota hacia la última parte de la década”.
La aerolínea opera actualmente diecinueve (19) Boeing 717-200 y es uno de los tres operadores restantes del tipo a nivel mundial, junto con Delta Air Lines y Cobham Aviation Services Australia. Recientemente adquirió un avión más del tipo retirado por la española Volotea Airlines. Hawaiian despliega los Boeing 717 en sus concurridas rutas entre islas, principalmente desde Honolulu a Kahului, Lihue y Kona, con un tráfico de 1.139 vuelos semanales.
La aerolínea hawaiana busca un reemplazo para los Boeing 717 que podría ser en el módulo de viajes regionales. Losa candidatos más cercanos podrían ser el Airbus A220 o el Embraer E195-E2.

Hawaiian Airlines has announced the Boeing 717 fleet replacement decision for 1Q2024. The US carrier plans an aircraft lineup replacement in late 2023 or early 2024, Chief Executive Peter Ingram said: “We are in the midst of analytical work. [The decision] will position us to move towards replacing that floats towards the latter part of the decade”.
The airline currently operates nineteen (19) Boeing 717-200s and is one of three remaining operators of the type globally, along with Delta Air Lines and Cobham Aviation Services Australia. It recently acquired one more aircraft of the type retired by the Spanish Volotea Airlines. Hawaiian deploys Boeing 717s on its busy inter-island routes, primarily from Honolulu to Kahului, Lihue, and Kona, with traffic of 1,139 weekly flights.
