Inicia vuelos comerciales desde Islas Bermudas
BermudAir inició oficialmente sus operaciones el 1 de Septiembre de 2023 con un Embraer E175-E1 con registro VQ-BLU. El vuelo inaugural 2T301 despegó de su centro de operaciones en el Aeropuerto Internacional LF Wade (BDA) a las 08:12 y aterrizó al Aeropuerto Internacional Boston/Logan (BOS) a las 09:14 horas. El retorno a las Islas Bermudas concluyó a las 13:00 horas. La aeronave regional partió para su segundo viaje del día a White Plains Westchester County (HPN) como vuelo 2T223. La inauguración se produce casi un mes después de la aprobación de la aerolínea y la certificación de aeronaves de la Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Bermudas.
El Director Ejecutivo de BermudAir, Adam Scott, expresó: “El primer vuelo fue brillante, y tuvimos una primera experiencia increíble. Todos lo pasaron de maravilla, y todo salió sin problemas, así que estábamos muy contentos con el resultado”.
La aerolínea ha firmado un contrato de arrendamiento para dos (2) E175 de Azorra Aviation con registros VQ-BLW y VQ-BLU. A partir de Noviembre 2023, la aerolínea implementará su nuevo producto de clase ejecutiva, Aisle Class, que cuenta con solo 30 asientos. Cada asiento vendrá con un espacio de mesa individual, contenedores de almacenamiento de asientos para bolsas y una partición de privacidad con solo dos asientos en cada fila. El asiento está diseñado para crear una sensación de espacio y exclusividad para los pasajeros y fue diseñado por la agencia londinense Factory Design, que se especializa en crear interiores de cabina de alta gama. Este nuevo producto elimina el dilema de la ventana de muchos pasajeros frente al asiento del pasillo.
BermudAir aumentará el servicio entre White Plains y Bermuda a 12 veces por semana (12Frq/S) a partir del 15/09. Además de Boston y White Plains, la startup agregará vuelos a Fort Lauderdale (Florida) el 22 de Septiembre de 2023. Inicialmente, la aerolínea servirá a todos estos destinos seis veces por semana (6Frq/S).

BermudAir officially started its operations on September 1, 2023, with an Embraer E175-E1 with registration VQ-BLU. The inaugural flight 2T301 took off from its hub at LF Wade International Airport (BDA) at 08:12 and landed at Boston/Logan International Airport (BOS) at 09:14. The return to the Bermuda Islands concluded at 1:00 p.m. The regional aircraft departed for its second trip of the day to White Plains Westchester County (HPN) as Flight 2T223. The inauguration comes almost a month after the airline’s approval and aircraft certification by the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority.
BermudAir CEO Adam Scott said: “The first flight was brilliant, and we had an amazing first experience. Everyone had a great time, and everything went smoothly, so we were very happy with the result”.
The airline has signed a lease agreement for two (2) E175s from Azorra Aviation with registrations VQ-BLW and VQ-BLU. Starting in November 2023, the airline will implement its new business class product, Aisle Class, which has only 30 seats. Each seat will come with an individual table space, seat storage bins for bags, and a privacy partition with only two seats in each row. The seat is designed to create a feeling of space and exclusivity for passengers and was designed by a London-based Factory Design agency, which specializes in creating high-end cabin interiors. This new product eliminates many passengers’ window vs. aisle seat dilemma.
BermudAir will increase service between White Plains and Bermuda to 12 times per week (12Frq/S) effective 09/15. In addition to Boston and White Plains, the startup will add flights to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on September 22, 2023. Initially, the airline will serve all of these destinations six times a week (6Frq/S).
