Overland Airways de Nigeria recibe su primer E175
Overland Airways de Nigeria ha recibido el primero de tres nuevos Embraer E175-E1. El avión fue entregado a la aerolínea la semana pasada. La aerolínea de veinte años de África Occidental, filial de Landover Aviation Services Company, también tiene opciones para tres aviones adicionales.
La aerolínea, que opera vuelos regulares y chárter, planea usar los E88 de clase dual de 175 asientos para aumentar la capacidad en rutas nacionales y expandir los servicios a ciudades regionales. El nuevo avión complementará la flota actual de turbohélices de la aerolínea y “ampliará nuestro alcance y red. Overland tiene un ecosistema de excelencia aeronáutica coronado con su flota E175. Con Embraer, ahora tenemos opciones muy flexibles para aumentar nuestra flota y capacidad para satisfacer toda la demanda futura”, según el Director Gerente de Overland Airways, el capitán Edward Boyo.
“La entrega del primer E175 nuevo de Overland marca el comienzo de un capítulo emocionante para la aerolínea y Embraer. Nigeria representa uno de los mercados de aviación de más rápido crecimiento en el mundo; Overland y Embraer están comprometidos con el apoyo de su éxito continuo con una línea de productos perfectamente adecuada para construir conectividad en África Occidental”, dijo Stephan Hannemann, Jefe de África y Medio Oriente, Región de Aviación Comercial.
Simultáneamente con la llegada de sus nuevos E175, Overland está aumentando agresivamente su presencia en Nigeria. Ha construido una nueva oficina corporativa e instalaciones de hangar en Lagos. La aerolínea es una Organización de Mantenimiento Aprobada bajo la certificación de la Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Nigeria.
El socio de Overland, Landover Aviation Services, dirige una de las diez principales instituciones de capacitación en aviación de IATA en África. La Escuela de Negocios de Aviación de Landover se especializa en técnicas y operaciones de aerolíneas, gestión de aviación y viajes y turismo.

Nigeria’s Overland Airways takes delivery of its first E175
Nigeria’s Overland Airways has taken delivery of the first of three new Embraer E175-E1s. The plane was delivered to the airline last week. The twenty-year-old West African airline, a subsidiary of Landover Aviation Services Company, also has options for three additional aircraft.
The airline, which operates scheduled and charter flights, plans to use the 175-seat dual-class E88s to increase capacity on domestic routes and expand services to regional cities. The new aircraft will complement the airline’s current turboprop fleet and “expand our reach and network. Overland has an ecosystem of aeronautical excellence crowned with its E175 fleet. With Embraer, we now have very flexible options to increase our fleet and capacity to meet all future demand”, according to Overland Airways Managing Director Captain Edward Boyo.
“The delivery of Overland’s first new E175 marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for the airline and Embraer. Concurrent with the arrival of its new E175s, Overland is aggressively increasing its presence in Nigeria. It has built a new corporate office and hangar facility in Lagos. The airline is an Approved Maintenance Organization under the certification of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
Overland’s partner, Landover Aviation Services, runs one of IATA’s top ten aviation training institutions in Africa. The Landover Aviation Business School specializes in airline techniques and operations, aviation management, and travel and tourism.
