Viva Aerobus MoU por noventa A321neo
Viva Aerobus reveló que firmó un Memorando de Entendimiento (MoU) por noventa (90) aeronaves Airbus A321neo para la ampliación y robustecimiento de la flota y rutas en expansión, aunque no reveló el monto de la transacción que implicará la adquisición de las nuevas aeronaves. Es la tercera transacción formal con el mismo fabricante europeo, lo que permitirá mantener una flota homogénea y estandarizada de la familia A320, llevando su orden a un total de 170 aviones, adquiriendo la flexibilidad para continuar creciendo y renovando su flota.
“Este acuerdo demuestra la solidez de nuestra empresa y la confianza y compromiso que tenemos los accionistas y colaboradores de Viva Aerobus con nuestro país, por continuar impulsando la competitividad, la conectividad y el turismo, con un transporte aéreo de calidad y accesible para todos”, dijo en un comunicado Roberto Alcántara, Presidente del Consejo de Administración de la aerolínea mexicana.
Juan Carlos Zuazua, Director General de Viva Aerobus, detalló que el acuerdo firmado con Airbus y con el constructor de motores Pratt & Whitney (P&W), empresa encargada de proveer los motores GTF, refuerza el compromiso de la aerolínea con el medio ambiente y fortalece su crecimiento manteniendo los costos más bajos del continente.
“Viva Aerobus es una empresa en crecimiento y México tiene un potencial muy importante para crecer su mercado aéreo y más pasajeros vuelen por primera vez. Estas aeronaves, con sus 240 asientos, nos permitirán seguir mejorando nuestros niveles de productividad operativa y eficiencia en el consumo de combustible, reduciendo nuestros costos, y, por ende, seguir ofreciendo tarifas más bajas a nuestros pasajeros. Simultáneamente, podremos avanzar en la disminución de emisiones de carbono por pasajero para continuar acreditándonos como la aerolínea más verde de México”, resaltó Juan Carlos Zuazua.

Viva Aerobus revealed that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for ninety (90) Airbus A321neo aircraft for the expansion and strengthening of the fleet and expanding routes, although it did not reveal the amount of the transaction that the acquisition of the new aircraft will involve. It is the third formal transaction with the same European manufacturer, which will allow it to maintain a homogeneous and standardized fleet of the A320 family, bringing its order to a total of 170 aircraft, acquiring the flexibility to continue growing and renewing its fleet.
“This agreement demonstrates the solidity of our company and the trust and commitment that the shareholders and collaborators of Viva Aerobus have with our country, to continue promoting competitiveness, connectivity, and tourism, with quality air transport accessible to all”, Roberto Alcántara, President of the Board of Directors of the Mexican airline, said in a statement.
Juan Carlos Zuazua, General Director of Viva Aerobus, explained that the agreement signed with Airbus and with the engine builder Pratt & Whitney (P&W), the company in charge of supplying the GTF engines, reinforces the airline’s commitment to the environment and strengthens its growth while maintaining the lowest costs on the continent.
“Viva Aerobus is a growing company and Mexico has a very important potential to grow its air market and more passengers fly for the first time. These aircraft, with their 240 seats, will allow us to continue improving our levels of operational productivity and fuel consumption efficiency, reducing our costs, and, therefore, continue offering lower fares to our passengers. Simultaneously, we will be able to advance in reducing carbon emissions per passenger to continue accrediting ourselves as the greenest airline in Mexico”, highlighted Juan Carlos Zuazua.
