Cathay Group nuevo pedido 32 aviones de la familia A320neo
Cathay Group ha realizado un pedido de la familia Airbus A320neo en medio de su expansión de sus operaciones. Las nuevas órdenes de aviones adicionales comprenderán a los A321neo y A320neo, ayudando a reforzar las flotas tanto de Cathay Pacific Airlines como de la filial de bajo coste HK Express. El acuerdo duplica el total de pedidos del Grupo Cathay para la Familia A320neo a un nuevo total de 64, de los cuales trece han sido actualmente entregados.
En una declaración en nombre de Airbus y Cathay Group el 29 de Septiembre de 2023, ambas partes confirmaron que el nuevo avión servirá principalmente a destinos en la parte continental de China y en otras partes de Asia.
Christian Scherer, CCO de Airbus y Director Internacional, dijo: “Cathay es uno de los principales grupos de aerolíneas del mundo y estamos orgullosos de ser parte de su plan de recuperación y crecimiento. Cathay Group new order for 32 A320neo family aircraft
Cathay Group has placed an order for the Airbus A320neo family amid the expansion of its operations. The additional new aircraft orders will comprise the A321neo and A320neo, helping to bolster the fleets of both Cathay Pacific Airlines and its low-cost subsidiary HK Express. The deal doubles Cathay Group’s total orders for the A320neo Family to a new total of 64, of which thirteen have currently been delivered.
In a statement on behalf of Airbus and Cathay Group on September 29, 2023, both parties confirmed that the new aircraft will mainly serve destinations on the Chinese mainland and elsewhere in Asia.

Operating from the Cathay Group base in the heart of Asia, the A320neo family will allow it to expand its services throughout the region with a more efficient single-aisle fleet and a positive differentiation of passenger comfort. With a significant reduction in fuel consumption, the aircraft will also make an immediate contribution to the sustainability objectives of the Cathay Group”.
