Aerolínea surinamesa adquiere segundo Boeing 737 Next Generation
Surinam Airways (SLM) ha añadido el 27/09 un segundo Boeing 737-800 a su flota. Hace tres meses, se firmó el contrato con la compañía de arrendamiento AerCap, y ahora el avión ha aterrizado en suelo surinamés.
El segundo Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, con matrícula PZ-TCX, tiene casi diecisiete años de antigüedad. El avión fue entregado nuevo a China United Airlines en 2007. Diez años más tarde, el avión se trasladó a Bangladesh para volar con US-Bangla Airlines. Ahora, la aerolínea surinamesa será el explotador aéreo de la aeronave para servicios en Sudamérica y el Caribe.
El nuevo avión incorporado el 12 de Septiembre de 2023, Boeing 737-800 Next Generation posee Serial number SN30711, LN2159, con sub-variante 737-8Q8. Es impulsada por dos motores CFMI CFM56-7B27. Realizó su primer vuelo comercial el 09/01/2007. Actualmente tiene una antigüedad de 16.7 años. La configuración de los asientos es de C10 Y162.
En los últimos años, Surinam Airways ha perdido todos sus aviones debido a problemas financieros en curso. Como resultado, se tuvo que contratar capacidad externa. La aerolínea surinamesa ahora vuela tres aviones propios nuevamente: un (1) Airbus A340-300 para el servicio regular entre Paramaribo y Amsterdam/Schiphol, y dos (2) Boeing 737-800 para rutas regionales.

Surinamese airline acquires second Boeing 737 Next Generation
Surinam Airways (SLM) has added a second Boeing 737-800 to its fleet on 09/27. Three months ago, the contract was signed with the leasing company AerCap, and now the plane has landed on Surinamese soil.
The second Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, with registration PZ-TCX, is almost seventeen years old. The aircraft was delivered new to China United Airlines in 2007. Ten years later, the aircraft was moved to Bangladesh to fly with US-Bangla Airlines. Now, the Surinamese airline will be the air operator of the aircraft for services in South America and the Caribbean.
The new aircraft incorporated on September 12, 2023, Boeing 737-800 Next Generation has Serial number SN30711, LN2159, with sub-variant 737-8Q8. It is powered by two CFMI CFM56-7B27 engines. It made its first commercial flight on 01/09/2007. It is currently 16.7 years old. The seating configuration is C10 Y162.
In recent years, Suriname Airways has lost all of its aircraft due to ongoing financial problems. As a result, external capacity had to be hired. The Surinamese airline now flies three of its own aircraft again: one (1) Airbus A340-300 for scheduled service between Paramaribo and Amsterdam/Schiphol, and two (2) Boeing 737-800 for regional routes.
