Nuevo Boeing 737-8 MAX ingresa a flota compañía

Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmó la llegada el Viernes 29 de Septiembre de 2023 el arribo de un nuevo Boeing 737-8 MAX que su suma a su flota de corto y mediano alcance. La aeronave con matrícula LV-KKD fue trasladada desde Phoenix con una escala intermedia en Punta Cana y arribó al Aeropuerto Internacional de Ezeiza en la noche del Viernes 29/09. El nuevo avión incorporado se suma a la flota total de 82 unidades y el octavo de su tipo dentro de la flota de Aerolíneas Argentinas.

La nueva aeronave incorporada formaba parte de la flota de la aerolínea low cost canadiense Flair Airlines, que había sido embargada ante la falta de pagos, quedando el 737 MAX inactivo hasta su incorporación a la línea aérea argentina. Flair Airlines operaba la aeronave con registro C-FLGD a partir del 19/12/2022, mientras fue almacenado el 12/2022 como OE-ILD. Posteriormente en Smartwings OK-SWK (NTU: No utilizado). El aparato fue tomado en leasing (LSG) de Altavair Airfinance. Aerolíneas Argentinas formaliza contrato de la aeronave el 21/09/2023 para realizar registro LV-KKD.

La configuración de los asientos de la flota Boeing 737 MAX cuentan con una configuración de 170 asientos: 162 en Clase Turista y 8 en Clase Ejecutiva. Además, la compañía tiene reservadas las matrículas LV-KIT, LV-KIU y LV-KIV para sus próximas incorporaciones.

Actualmente, la flota de Aerolíneas Argentinas se compone de: Boeing 737-700 (8), Boeing 737–800 (29), Boeing 737–800F (2), Boeing 737–8 MAX (8) y Airbus 330–200 (9). En los próximos días se incorporará un Airbus 330–200 y un Boeing 737–8 MAX adicionales.

La aeronave ha sido reconfigurada para operaciones en el mercado de la aerolínea. Los 737 MAX son fácilmente identificables por el diseño de sus winglets o puntas de ala conocidos como AT, que en conjunto con sus modernos motores mejoran de forma notable la performance en vuelo. Estas características le permiten reducir un 13% el consumo de combustible y un 40% su huella sonora, permitiendo sus características convertir a la aeronave 737 de cuarta generación en un avión mucho más amigable con el medio ambiente y con costos operativos un 8% más bajos que otros modelos del mismo segmento.
