Pegasus Airlines encarga hasta 200 aviones Boeing 737-10
The Boeing Company y Pegasus Airlines han anunciado el 19 de Diciembre de 2024 que la principal aerolínea de bajo coste de Turquía crecerá y modernizará su flota de pasillo único con un pedido de hasta doscientos aviones Boeing 737 MAX. La compra de la aerolínea incluye un pedido en firme de 100 aviones Boeing 737-10 MAX, además de opciones para 100 adicionales. La aerolínea ampliará su red con 737 MAX eficientes y avanzará en los objetivos de sostenibilidad a largo plazo.
El modelo más grande de la familia 737 MAX, el 737-10 MAX puede transportar hasta 230 pasajeros con un alcance de hasta 5.740 km/3.100 millas náuticas, al tiempo que reduce el uso de combustible y las emisiones en un 20% en comparación con los aviones que reemplaza. La eficiencia y flexibilidad del avión permitirá a Pegasus Airlines atender a más pasajeros en más rutas con el menor costo por asiento de cualquier avión de pasillo único.

Pegasus Airlines inició operaciones con el Boeing 737 Classic hace casi 35 años. El 737-10 complementará la flota de 737 de próxima generación de la aerolínea al proporcionar uniformidad operativa y flexibilidad para satisfacer la creciente demanda de viajes.

A medida que las aerolíneas de bajo coste continúan impulsando el crecimiento regional y la conectividad, el 737-10 MAX apoyará a Pegasus Airlines para llegar a nuevos mercados en Europa, Oriente Medio, Asia Central y África. El informe Boeing Commercial Market Outlook pronostica que los operadores europeos y de Asia Central recibirán casi 7.900 aviones de pasillo único en los próximos veinte años.
«Cuando se considera dentro del alcance de la Iniciativa Aeroespacial Nacional de Boeing lanzada con el gobierno turco en 2017, nuestro pedido también abrirá nuevas puertas y creará oportunidades de producción y exportación tanto para los fabricantes turcos como para la industria de la aviación en general», dijo Güliz Öztürk.
La compra de 100 aviones 737-10 MAX por parte de Pegasus Airlines elevará los pedidos totales de la variante 737 MAX a más de 1.200 aviones.
Constituida en 1990, Pegasus fue adquirida por ESAS Holding en 2005 y se lanzó como una aerolínea regular de bajo costo. Como una de las principales aerolíneas de bajo costo de la región, Pegasus cree que todos tienen derecho a volar y ofrece a sus huéspedes la oportunidad de viajar con tarifas bajas y aviones jóvenes a través de su modelo de bajo costo. Pegasus Airlines Orders Up to 200 Boeing 737-10 Aircraft
The Boeing Company and Pegasus Airlines announced on December 19, 2024, that Turkey’s leading low-cost carrier will grow and modernize its single-aisle fleet with an order for up to two hundred Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The airline’s purchase includes a firm order for 100 Boeing 737-10 MAX aircraft, plus options for an additional 100. The airline will expand its network with efficient 737 MAXs and advance long-term sustainability goals.
The largest model in the 737 MAX family, the 737-10 MAX can carry up to 230 passengers with a range of up to 5,740 km/3,100 nautical miles, while reducing fuel use and emissions by 20% compared to the aircraft it replaces. The aircraft’s efficiency and flexibility will enable Pegasus Airlines to serve more passengers on more routes with the lowest cost per seat of any single-aisle aircraft.

Pegasus Airlines began operations with the Boeing 737 Classic almost 35 years ago. The 737-10 will complement the airline’s next-generation 737 fleet by providing operational consistency and flexibility to meet growing travel demand.

As low-cost carriers continue to drive regional growth and connectivity, the 737-10 MAX will support Pegasus Airlines in reaching new markets in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa. The Boeing Commercial Market Outlook report forecasts that European and Central Asian operators will receive nearly 7,900 single-aisle airplanes over the next twenty years.
“When considered within the scope of Boeing’s National Aerospace Initiative launched with the Turkish government in 2017, our order will also open new doors and create production and export opportunities for both Turkish manufacturers and the wider aviation industry”, said Güliz Öztürk.
The purchase of 100 737-10 MAX aircraft by Pegasus Airlines will bring total orders for the 737 MAX variant to more than 1,200 aircraft.
