CÓDIGOS AEROPUERTOS DEL MUNDO IATA/ICAO

Existen dos tipos de códigos para identificar aeropuerto. El más utilizado es el código IATA. Este código consta de tres letras y es definido por este organismo IATA (International Air Transport Association). El código IATA es el más conocido por los viajeros ya que es el que figura al momento del check-in, el que figura en las etiquetas sobre las valijas y en los boarding pass, tarjetas de embarque. También es el que seguramente encontrás en los buscadores de vuelos y agencias de viaje identificando al aeropuerto. En general es fácil identificar la ciudad a la que pertenece el código de tres letras que identifica al aeropuerto. Como en los casos, por solo citar algunos ejemplos, del Aeropuerto de Miami (MIA), del Aeropuerto Josep Tarradellas (BCN) más conocido sólo como El Prat, de Barcelona. Además, existen varios aeropuertos para un mismo destino comopor ejemplo en Buenos Aires, que posee el Aeropuerto de Ezeiza (EZE) y Aeroparque (AEP).

El código OACI que consta de cuatro letras y lo establece la OACI (Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional). Este código se utiliza comunmente para el plan de vuelo y es más utilizado por pilotos y controladores de tráfico aéreo pero no así para los pasajeros.

IATA/ICAO WORLD AIRPORT CODES

There are two types of codes to identify the airport. The most used is the IATA code. This code consists of three letters and is defined by this organization IATA (International Air Transport Association). The IATA code is the best known by travelers since it is the one that appears at the time of check-in, the one that appears on the labels on the suitcases and on the boarding passes, boarding passes. It is also the one that you will surely find in flight search engines and travel agencies identifying the airport. In general, it is easy to identify the city to which the three-letter code that identifies the airport belongs. As in the cases, just to cite a few examples, of the Miami Airport (MIA), the Josep Tarradellas Airport (BCN) better known only as El Prat, in Barcelona. In addition, there are several airports for the same destination, such as Buenos Aires, which has the Ezeiza Airport (EZE) and Aeroparque (AEP).

The ICAO code that consists of four letters and is established by the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization). This code is commonly used for the flight plan and is more used by pilots and air traffic controllers but not by passengers.
