Aerolínea australiana desprograma modelo tras 39 años servicio

Qantas Airways ha anunciado la desprogramación y retiro del último avión Boeing 767 tras 39 años de servicios en la aerolínea. La compañía aérea australiana había recibido su primer avión Boeing 767-200 en 1985. La aerolínea poseía una variante de carga pura Boeing 767-3000F que operaba bajo su filial Qantas Freight, que operó su último vuelo el 17 de Mayo de 2024 en la ruta Hong Kong/HKG—Sydney/SYD con número de vuelo QF7526.

El último ejemplar en la flota Boeing 767-300F tiene 18 años, inicialmente fue entregado como carguero nuevo a All Nippon Airways (ANA) en Japón en Febrero de 2006 y en Febrero de 2011 fue vendido a Qantas Airways para emplearlo en Express Freighters Australia, al servicio de QANTAS Freight.

El grupo QANTAS ha operado varias versiones del modelo 767 durante las últimas cuatro décadas, la aerolínea ha operado un total de 41 Boeing 767, incluidos 767-200, 767-300 y 767-300F. El primer avión, VH-EAJ, llegó a la aerolínea el 5 de Julio de 1985, acumulando más de 59.000 horas de vuelo antes de ser retirado en 2003. Australian airline reschedules model after 39 years of service

Qantas Airways has announced the deprogramming and retirement of the last Boeing 767 aircraft after 39 years of service with the airline. The Australian airline took delivery of its first Boeing 767-200 aircraft in 1985. The airline owned a Boeing 767-3000F pure cargo variant operating under its subsidiary Qantas Freight, which operated its last flight on May 17, 2024, on the route. Hong Kong/HKG—Sydney/SYD with flight number QF7526.

The last example in the Boeing 767-300F fleet is 18 years old, it was initially delivered as a new freighter to All Nippon Airways (ANA) in Japan in February 2006 and in February 2011 it was sold to Qantas Airways for use by Express Freighters Australia, serving QANTAS Freight.

The QANTAS group has operated various versions of the 767 model over the past four decades, the airline has operated a total of 41 Boeing 767s, including 767-200, 767-300, and 767-300F. The cargo subsidiary currently owns four British Aerospace BAe 146 freighters that are used on short routes in Australia. Currently, the Qantas Freight fleet consists of four Airbus A321 (4), two A330F (2), one 737-300F (1), two 747-400F (2), two BAe 146-200 (2) and two BAe 146-300 (2).

The existing global fleet of 767-300s consists of 280 freighters in operation on fourteen airlines worldwide, as well as 233 converted freighter aircraft flying on thirty airlines.
