Lanzamiento nueva base pilotos en Newark

La aerolínea estadounidense Spirit Airlines ha anunciado la apertura de una nueva base de tripulación para pilotos en el Aeropuerto Internacional Newark Liberty (EWR) para Septiembre de 2024. La nueva base permitirá impulsar nuevas inversiones para mejorar la confiabilidad operativa. La nueva base localizada en Newark, es un aeropuerto situado entre las ciudades de Newark y Elizabeth en el norte del Estado de Nueva Jersey, a 24 kilómetros de Nueva York, que incorporará inicialmente a 200 pilotos.

En un comunicado, la compñía aérea ha expresado que Newark es ideal para la nueva base de tripulación de pilotos gracias a su ubicación estratégica dentro de la red de Spirit y su importante calendario de vuelos. “Estamos continuamente enfocados en ejecutar una operación sólida y confiable, y nuestro crecimiento en EWR, junto con la ubicación del aeropuerto en el área metropolitana más grande del país, hace que Newark sea ideal para nuestra próxima base de tripulación piloto”, dijo John Bendoraitis, Vicepresidente Ejecutivo y Vicepresidente Director de Operaciones de Spirit Airlines.

Spirit Airlines ha alcanzado ser la segunda aerolínea más grande en el Aeropuerto Newark (EWR) con veintitres destinos servicos y 32 vuelos diarios. La nueva base de tripulación EWR Pilot complementará las bases de tripulación adicionales de Spirit en Atlanta (ATL), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Houston (IAH), Las Vegas (LAS), Miami (MIA) y Orlando (MCO).

The American airline Spirit Airlines has announced the opening of a new crew base for pilots at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) by September 2024. The new base will allow for new investments to improve operational reliability. The new base located in Newark, is an airport located between the cities of Newark and Elizabeth in the north of the State of New Jersey, 24 kilometers from New York, which will initially incorporate 200 pilots.

In a statement, the airline has stated that Newark is ideal for the new pilot crew base thanks to its strategic location within the Spirit network and its important flight schedule. “We are continually focused on running a strong, reliable operation, and our growth at EWR, along with the airport’s location in the nation’s largest metropolitan area, makes Newark ideal for our next pilot crew base”, said John Bendoraitis, Executive Vice President and Vice President Chief Operating Officer of Spirit Airlines.

Spirit Airlines has become the second largest airline at Newark Airport (EWR) with twenty-three serving destinations and 32 daily flights. The new EWR Pilot crew base will complement Spirit’s additional crew bases in Atlanta (ATL), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Houston (IAH), Las Vegas ( LAS), Miami (MIA) and Orlando (MCO).
