Aerolíneas decidirán sobre segunda pista en Aeropuerto Alicante

El Aeropuerto Alicante (ALC) ha anunciado el estudio de una segunda pista para su aeropuerto localizado a nueve kilómetros al Suroeste de la ciudad homónima española.

Las aerolíneas permitirán tomar la decisión si es necesario un segundo carril de aterrizaje en el Aeropuerto Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández. Así lo afirmó el Ministro dde Transporte español Óscar Puente el Lunes 15/07, quien dijo que las obras para mejorar la infraestructura son pagadas por las aerolíneas con sus tarifas, en referencia a la expansión de la terminal de Alicante.

Mientras tanto, las autoridades valencianas quieren que el aeropuerto simplemente pueda manejar el tráfico aéreo resolviendo la extensión de la terminal aérea de Alicante. Anunció que el proyecto de ampliación de la terminal se licitará antes de que termine el año 2024 y permitirá que en el escenario a corto, medio y largo plazo el número de pasajeros siga aumentando y la provincia continúe aprovechando las oportunidades que la infraestructura ofrece al territorio. Además, continúa el proyecto para conectar el Aeropuerto de Alicante con el acceso ferroviario, se encuentra en marcha desde Febrero de 2023.

Airlines will decide on second runway at Alicante Airport

Alicante Airport (ALC) has announced the study of a second runway for its airport located nine kilometers southwest of the Spanish city of the same name.

The airlines will allow the decision to be made if a second landing lane is necessary at the Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport. This was stated by Spanish Minister of Transport Óscar Puente on Monday 07/15, who said that the works to improve the infrastructure are paid for by the airlines with their rates, in reference to the expansion of the Alicante terminal.

Meanwhile, the Valencian authorities want the airport to simply be able to handle air traffic by resolving the extension of the Alicante air terminal. He announced that the terminal expansion project will be put out to tender before the end of 2024 and will allow the number of passengers to continue to increase in the short, medium, and long-term scenario and the province to continue taking advantage of the opportunities that the infrastructure offers to the territory. In addition, the project to connect Alicante Airport with rail access continues and has been underway since February 2023.
