Flybondi instala winglets en sus aviones Boeing 737-800

Flybondi, la primera aerolínea de bajo costo en Argentina, ha instalado winglets en dos de sus aviones Boeing 737-800 con registros LV-KJF y LV-KJD con el fin de aumentar la eficiencia operativa. De esta manera, la empresa actualizó elementos de fábrica que no estaban instalados originalmente. El procedimiento se realizó en los talleres de Aerolíneas Argentinas, en el Aeropuerto de Ezeiza (EZE), y estuvo a cargo del área de Mantenimiento de la empresa proveedora.

Los winglets son estructuras que mejoran el rendimiento de una aeronave, aumentando el alcance del avión al reducir el consumo de combustible, lo que, a su vez, ayuda a reducir las emisiones de CO2. El objetivo principal es reducir el consumo de combustible, así como disminuir los costos directos. Durante el segundo semestre de 2024, la compañía tiene la intención de instalar winglets en el resto de aviones de este proyecto.

«Flybondi está implementando estas mejoras para contribuir a reducir el consumo de combustible y las emisiones de CO2. Me gustaría destacar el trabajo realizado por nuestro equipo de Mantenimiento, que fue el encargado de supervisar el procedimiento. Una prueba clara del éxito de este procedimiento es que, durante los meses de Abril, Mayo y Junio, las primeras aeronaves donde se instaló este dispositivo mostraron una disminución del 7,45% en el consumo de combustible, lo que implicó un ahorro de 72.650 kg de combustible en el período de control», dijo Eduardo Gaspari, Director de Operaciones de Flybondi.

Flybondi vuela a 19 destinos domésticos y 3 destinos internacionales, a través de 26 rutas (18 rutas domésticas desde/hacia Buenos Aires, 5 rutas interprovinciales y 3 rutas internacionales), y ya ha transportado a más de 11 millones de pasajeros.
