Inversiones por S/. 620 millones de Soles

El Ministerio de Transporte y Comunicaciones (MTC) de Perú, a través de la Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC), busca mejorar la conectividad aérea en la región de las selvas peruanas, reducir los tiempos de viaje y facilitar el acceso al turismo. El Estado destinará una inversión superior a los S/. 620 millones de Soles para construir cuatro nuevos aeropuertos en el interior del país. Raúl Pérez Reyes, titular del MTC, ha comunicado que las terminales aéreas estarán ubicadas en Loreto, Pasco y Cusco, buscando fomentar el desarrollo económico y brindar nuevas oportunidades a las personas que residan en Datem del Marañón, Soplín Vargas, Oxapampa y Unión Asháninka.

Raúl Pérez Reyes, Ministro de Transporte y Comunicaciones, informó que solamente tres de los cuatro aeropuertos nuevos que se construirán en la selva peruana se encuentran en la etapa de diagnóstico y adquisición de terrenos. También precisó que estas tres propuestas han sido declaradas como viables. Estos son los cuatro aeropuertos que impulsa el MTC:
· Aeropuerto Teniente Manuel Clavero estará ubicado en la provincia de Putumayo, en la zona fronteriza con Colombia. Contará con instalaciones adecuadas para atender aeronaves ligeras. Permitirá vuelos entre Iquitos y Soplín Vargas.
· Aeropuerto Oxapampa tendrá en una primera fase instalaciones apropiadas para atender aeronaves con capacidad de 80 pasajeros. Después de una ampliación, el terminar aéreo podrá recibir aviones de hasta 180 pasajeros.
· Aeropuerto Datem del Marañón reemplazará al Aeródromo de San Lorenzo y ostentará las dimensiones necesarias para facilitar el acceso de aeronaves de hasta 50 pasajeros. Incluso contará con terminal de pasajeros, pista de aterrizaje, calles de rodaje, torre de control, cuartel SEI, entre otros elementos. Tendrá una inversión prevista de más de S/. 164 millones de Soles.
· Aeropuerto Unión Asháninka se edificará en la zona del VRAEM, específicamente en la Provincia de La Convención. El Ministerio de Transporte y Comunicaciones ha otorgado la buena pro para la elaboración del estudio de pre-inversión a nivel de perfil del proyecto.

Estas edificaciones, además de facilitar el acceso al turismo nacional e internacional, tienen el propósito de potenciar la conectividad en la selva peruana para que los viajes sean más seguros y rápidos. Con las modernización en infraestructuras, se busca conseguir una mayor frecuencia de vuelos y elevar la calidad del servicio aéreo.

Mejoramiento conectividad
Según precisiones del Ministerio de Transporte y Comunicaciones, la conectividad aérea del país se está optimizando a través del mejoramiento y rehabilitación de aeropuertos. La entidad gubernamental detalló que desde el 1 de Julio de 2024 se reanudaron los vuelos comerciales en Áncash tras un perfeccionamiento de la pista de aterrizaje y del terminal de pasajeros. En Cajamarca, se realizó vuelos comerciales los días 20, 23 y 27 de Julio de 2024, después de que el sector autorizara las operaciones para aviones menores a treinta toneladas. Asimismo, el MTC pormenorizó que el Aeropuerto de Apurímac ha sido rehabilitado. Ahora ostenta unas instalaciones reparadas, unos equipos de navegación aérea operativos, una torre de control en buen estado y unos vehículos de rescate listos para responder ante cualquier eventualidad.

The State will allocate an investment of more than S/. 620 million Soles to build four new airports in the interior of the country. · Datem del Marañón Airport will replace the San Lorenzo Aerodrome and will have the necessary dimensions to facilitate the access of aircraft with a capacity of up to 50 passengers. It will also have a passenger terminal, landing strip, taxiways, control tower, and SEI headquarters, among other elements. It will have a planned investment of more than S/. 164 million Soles.
· Union Asháninka Airport will be built in the VRAEM area, specifically in the Province of La Convención. The Ministry of Transport and Communications has awarded the contract for the preparation of the pre-investment study at the project profile level.

These buildings, in addition to facilitating access to national and international tourism, have the purpose of enhancing connectivity in the Peruvian jungle so that travel is safer and faster. With the modernization of infrastructure, the aim is to achieve a greater frequency of flights and increase the quality of air service.

Improving connectivity
According to details from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the country’s air connectivity is being optimized through the improvement and rehabilitation of airports. The government entity detailed that since July 1, 2024, commercial flights have resumed in Áncash after an improvement of the landing strip and the passenger terminal. In Cajamarca, commercial flights were carried out on July 20, 23 and 27, 2024, after the sector authorized operations for aircraft weighing less than thirty tons. Likewise, the MTC detailed that the Apurímac Airport has been rehabilitated. It now has repaired facilities, operational air navigation equipment, a control tower in good condition and rescue vehicles ready to respond to any eventuality.
