JetSMART Airlines Chile ha anunciado la ampliación de su capacidad operativa en la ruta Santiago de Chile/SCL—Buenos Aires/AEP con aeronaves Airbus A321, tras la autorización de la agencia ANAC Argentina. La reanudación de la operación la ruta hacia el Aeroparque Buenos Aires/Jorge Newbery permitirá enlazar la ruta con vuelos diarios. El restablecimiento de la ruta, suspendida en 2020, representa un avance en la recuperación del tráfico aéreo en la región.

JetSMART Airlines Chile has announced the expansion of its operational capacity on the Santiago de Chile/SCL—Buenos Aires/AEP route with Airbus A321 aircraft, following authorization from the ANAC Argentina agency. The resumption of operations on the route to Aeroparque Buenos Aires/Jorge Newbery will allow the route to be linked with daily flights. The reestablishment of the route, suspended in 2020, represents a step forward in the recovery of air traffic in the region.

Flybondi and Civitatis reach a cooperation agreement to stimulate tourism development in the region. La aerolínea AirBaltic confirma el 13/08 un pedido adicional de diez Airbus A220-300 (10). Esta nueva orden representa el cuarto pedido realizado por la compañía que aumentará el pedido en firme total de la aerolínea a noventa (90) aviones regionales A220. airBaltic, que opera una sólida flota de cuarenta y cuatro A220-300 (44) operativos, es actualmente el mayor cliente de A220 en Europa y el mayor operador de A220-300 en el mundo.
La aerolínea de bandera letona cuenta con una larga trayectoria en la operación del Airbus A220-300, habiendo sido su cliente de lanzamiento en 2016. Desde 2020, la aerolínea opera una flota exclusiva de A220. Con un pedido en firme de 90 A220-300, airBaltic refuerza aún más su posición como el mayor cliente del A220 en Europa.

El A220 es el avión comercial más moderno de su clase, con capacidad para transportar entre 120 y 150 pasajeros en vuelos de hasta 3.600 millas náuticas/6.700 km. Tiene la cabina, los asientos y las ventanas más grandes de su clase, lo que garantiza un confort superior.
El A220, que combina una aerodinámica de última generación, materiales avanzados y los motores GTF™ de última generación de Pratt & Whitney, ofrece a los clientes una huella de ruido un 50 % menor en comparación con los aviones de la generación anterior y unas emisiones de NOx un 40 % inferiores a las de los estándares del sector. El avión consume un 25 % menos de combustible y emite menos CO2 por asiento que los aviones de la generación anterior. Como todos los aviones de Airbus, el A220 ya puede operar con hasta un 50 % de combustible de aviación sostenible (SAF). Airbus aspira a que todos sus aviones puedan operar con hasta un 100 % de SAF en 2030.
A finales de julio, Airbus había conseguido más de 900 pedidos de unos 30 clientes para el A220, de los que ya se habían entregado unos 350. El A220 ya está en servicio con éxito en más de 1.400 rutas y cuenta con más de 20 operadores en todo el mundo.

AirBaltic orders ten additional A220 aircraft
AirBaltic confirmed on 13/08 an additional order for ten Airbus A220-300s (10). This new order represents the fourth order placed by the company which will increase the airline’s total firm order to ninety (90) A220 regional aircraft. Operating a strong fleet of forty-four (44) operational A220-300s, airBaltic is currently the largest A220 customer in Europe and the largest A220-300 operator in the world.
The Latvian flag carrier has a long history of operating the Airbus A220-300, having been its launch customer in 2016. Since 2020, the airline operates an exclusive fleet of A220s. With a firm order for 90 A220-300s, airBaltic further strengthens its position as the largest A220 customer in Europe.

The A220 is the most modern commercial aircraft in its class, capable of carrying between 120 and 150 passengers on flights of up to 3,600 nautical miles/6,700 km. It has the largest cabin, seats, and windows in its class, ensuring superior comfort.
Combining state-of-the-art aerodynamics, advanced materials, and Pratt & Whitney’s next-generation GTF™ engines, the A220 offers customers a 50% lower noise footprint compared to previous-generation aircraft and 40% lower NOx emissions than industry standards. The aircraft consumes 25% less fuel and emits less CO2 per seat than previous-generation aircraft. Like all Airbus aircraft, the A220 can now operate on up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Airbus aims to have all its aircraft able to operate on up to 100% SAF by 2030.
By the end of July, Airbus had secured more than 900 orders from around 30 customers for the A220, of which around 350 had already been delivered. The A220 is now successfully in service on more than 1,400 routes and has more than 20 operators worldwide.
