Aerolínea chilena inaugura cuarto destino en Argentina

SKY Airline ha anunciado el 13/08 la ruta Santiago de Chile/SCL—El Calafate/FTE incorporando el cuarto destino en Argentina. La aerolónea low cost realizará frecuencias estacionales con vuelos programados entre el 18 de Diciembre de 2024 hasta el 16 de Marzo de 2025, permitiendo desarrollar la temporada estival 2024-2025. La ruta tendrá dos frecuencias semanales (2Frq/S)

“La apertura de esta nueva ruta les permitirá a nuestros pasajeros poder visitar este atractivo destino de la patagonia de manera directa y simple en un vuelo directo de tan solo 3 horas con tarifas completamente accesibles. En SKY queremos incentivar la conectividad y el turismo ofreciendo precios a bajo costo y con los máximos estándares de seguridad en la mejor aerolínea low cost de la región”, expresó Carmen Gloria Serrat, Directora Comercial de SKY Airline.

Los vuelos serán operados en aeronaves Airbus A320neo de última generación, con capacidad para 186 asientos en Economy Class, con una oferta de asientos de mas de setesientos por semana.

Tras la incorporación del vuelo de SKY Airline, el Aeropuerto Internacional El Calafate/Comandante Armando Tola restablecerá los vuelos internacionales regularesdespués de seis años con vuelos de la aerolínea chilena Aerovías DAP que realizaba conexión entre Punta Arenas (PUQ) y El Calafate (FTE), con una escala previa en Puerto Natales (PNT).

La aerolínea chilena SKY Airline posee actualmente las rutas Santiago de Chile/SCL—Buenos Aires/EZE con 28Frq/S, Santiago de Chile/SCL—Mendoza/MDZ con 9FRQ/S, Santiago de Chile/SCL—Bariloche/BRC con 3FRQ/S y Lima/LIM—Buenos Aires/EZE con 7Frq/S.

El Aeropuerto El Calafate ha desarrollado un crecimiento significativo tras la elevación de su categoría como aeropuerto internacional en 2021. En 2023, el aeropuerto alcanzó un récord de 892.438 pasajeros transitados, lo que representó un incremento del 32% con respecto a 2019. Actualmente, operan las aerolíneas Flybondi, Aerolíneas Argentinas y LADE Líneas Aéreas.

El Aeropuerto Internacional de El Calafate «Comandante Armando Tola», en honor al piloto santacruceño homónimo, es un aeropuerto que sirve a la Ciudad de El Calafate, en la Provincia de Santa Cruz, Argentina. El aeropuerto está ubicado a 23 km del centro de la ciudad, en dirección hacia el este por la RP 11.​ Es administrado por el consorcio London Supply.

Chilean airline inaugurates fourth destination in Argentina

On 08/13, SKY Airline announced the Santiago de Chile/SCL—El Calafate/FTE route, incorporating the fourth destination in Argentina. The low-cost airline will operate seasonal frequencies with flights scheduled between December 18, 2024, and March 16, 2025, allowing the development of the 2024-2025 summer season. The route will have two weekly frequencies (2Frq/S)

“The opening of this new route will allow our passengers to visit this attractive Patagonian destination directly and simply on a direct flight of just 3 hours with completely affordable fares. At SKY we want to encourage connectivity and tourism by offering low-cost prices and the highest safety standards on the best low-cost airline in the region”, said Carmen Gloria Serrat, Commercial Director of SKY Airline.

The flights will be operated on the latest generation Airbus A320neo aircraft, with capacity for 186 seats in Economy Class, with a seat offer of more than seven hundred per week.

Following the addition of the SKY Airline flight, El Calafate/Comandante Armando Tola International Airport will reestablish scheduled international flights after six years with flights from the Chilean airline Aerovías DAP that made connections between Punta Arenas (PUQ) and El Calafate (FTE), with a previous stopover in Puerto Natales (PNT).

El Calafate International Airport «Comandante Armando Tola», named after the Santa Cruz pilot of the same name, is an airport serving the city of El Calafate, in the Province of Santa Cruz, Argentina. The airport is located 23 km from the city center, heading east on RP 11. It is managed by the London Supply consortium.
