Atlanta lidera aeropuerto más concurrido 2024

El Aeropuerto Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson lidera lista como el aeropuerto con más tráfico de pasajeros con 104.6 millones de usuarios del transporte aéreo en 2024 en Estados Unidos.

La Administración Federal de Aviación (FAA) tiene tres categorías para los llamados aeropuertos hub de Estados Unidos, o los que ven la mayor cantidad de tráfico de pasajeros. Están los pequeños centros que obtienen entre el 0,05 y el 0,25% de cada uno de todos los embarques comerciales. Están los hubs medianos que representan entre el 0,25 y el 1% de cada uno de todos los embarques comerciales. Luego están los grandes centros que obtienen el 1% o más de todos los embarques comerciales cada uno. El segundo aeropuerto más transitado de Nueva York es el 19º aeropuerto más concurrido de Estados Unidos. En 2022 embarcó 14.367.463 pasajeros. En 2023 embarcó 16.173.072 pasajeros. Eso es bueno para un aumento del 12.6%.

AEROPUERTO LOS ANGELES
El aeropuerto más concurrido de California es el cuarto aeropuerto más concurrido de Estados Unidos. En 2022 embarcó 32.326.616 pasajeros. En 2023 embarcó 36.676.975 pasajeros. Eso es bueno para un aumento del 13.5%.

AEROPUERTO NASHVILLE
El aeropuerto más concurrido de Tennessee es el 28º aeropuerto más concurrido de Estados Unidos. En 2022 embarcó 9.829.062 pasajeros. En 2023 embarcó 11.227.159 pasajeros. Eso es bueno para un aumento del 14.2%.

AEROPUERTO BOSTON/LAWRENCE LOGAN
El aeropuerto más concurrido de Massachusetts es el 16º aeropuerto más concurrido de Estados Unidos. En 2022 embarcó 17.443.775 pasajeros. En 2023 embarcó 19.962.577 pasajeros. Eso es bueno para un aumento del 14.4%.

AEROPUERTO ORLANDO
El aeropuerto más concurrido de Florida es el séptimo aeropuerto más concurrido de Estados Unidos. En 2022 embarcó 24.469.733 pasajeros. En 2023 embarcó 28.033.177 pasajeros. Eso es bueno para un aumento del 14.6%.

Lo que distingue a Orlando es que, junto con el Aeropuerto Internacional Harry Reid de Las Vegas (LAS), es uno de los pocos en la lista de los diez más concurridos que no sirve como un hub principal para las grandes aerolíneas, sino que se enfoca en ser un aeropuerto de destino.

El aeropuerto más concurrido de Maryland es el 23º aeropuerto más concurrido de Estados Unidos. Embarcó 11.151.169 pasajeros en 2022. En 2023 embarcó 12.849.626 pasajeros. Eso es bueno para un aumento del 15.2%.

AEROPUERTO WASHINGTON-DULLES
El aeropuerto más concurrido de Virginia es el 26º aeropuerto más concurrido de Estados Unidos. Embarcó 10.266.324 pasajeros en 2022. En 2023 embarcó 12.073.231 pasajeros. Eso es bueno para un aumento del 17.6%.

There are the small hubs that get between 0.05 and 0.25% each of all commercial boardings. There are the mid-size hubs that account for between 0.25 and 1% each of all commercial boardings. Then there are the large hubs that get 1% or more of all commercial boardings each. These large hubs, which got more than 10 million passengers each year in 2023, would struggle to get busier year over year, although many of them see double-digit growth.
