Inversiones apertura MRO en Fort Worth

El constructor de aviones Embraer planea abrir un nuevo centro de Mantenimiento, Reparación y Revisión (MRO) en Fort Worth, Texas, Estados Unidos, para dar servicio y soporte a un número cada vez mayor de sus aeronaves comerciales E-Jets que operan en los Estados Unidos. El centro comenzará a operar a principios del próximo año 2025 en un hangar existente en el Aeropuerto Perot Field Fortr Worth Alliance (AFW), y posteriormente se construirá un segundo hangar que se abrirá allí a fines de 2027.

El Aeropuerto Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance se inauguró el 14 de Diciembre de 1989, fue el primero en el mundo en ser designado específicamente para uso industrial, y ahora sirve como base para vuelos de carga y logística, corporativos y gubernamentales y cuenta con una instalación FBO recientemente ampliada. Nacido de una colaboración entre Hillwood, la ciudad de Fort Worth y la FAA, el Aeropuerto Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance (AFW) alberga una variedad de servicios de vuelo que incluyen carga aérea, aviación corporativa y gubernamental, y es la piedra angular de una de las asociaciones público-privadas más exitosas de la nación, el desarrollo AllianceTexas de 27.000 acres. Aircraft manufacturer Embraer plans to open a new Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) center in Fort Worth, Texas, United States, to service and support an increasing number of its E-Jets commercial aircraft operating in the United States. The center will begin operations early next year 2025 in an existing hangar at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport (AFW), with a second hangar to be built there later in 2027.

Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport opened on December 14, 1989, was the first in the world to be specifically designated for industrial use, and now serves as a base for cargo and logistics, corporate and government flights, and features a recently expanded FBO facility. Born from a collaboration between Hillwood, the City of Fort Worth, and the FAA, Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport (AFW) hosts a variety of flight services including air cargo, corporate and government aviation, and is the cornerstone of one of the nation’s most successful public-private partnerships, the 27,000-acre AllianceTexas development. Since opening in 1989, AFW has served as a premier destination for global aviation and logistics leaders in AllianceTexas. The development has contributed to more than US$ 100 billion in cumulative economic impact for the region since its inception.

Embraer confirmed that its project is being developed in cooperation with city, county, and state authorities, but did not disclose the cost of its investment. “This expansion will significantly increase the capacity, capability, and footprint of our service network by providing world-class support to our customers and the growing fleet of E-Jets in North America”, said Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support.

Embraer’s E-Jets narrow-body twin-engine aircraft are available in four models ranging from 66 to 124 passengers and are typically in service as regional jets. Major U.S. operators of E-Jets include American Airlines, Alaska Airlines under its partner Horizon Air, Envoy Air, JetBlue Airways, Republic Airways, and SkyWest Airlines. American, Republic, and SkyWest have firm orders for more than 160 new E-Jets. The new Fort Worth service center will join a global network of eighty Embraer-authorized centers and twelve company-owned service centers around the world.
