Boeing reanuda producción todas aeronaves en Seattle

The Boeing Company ha reanudado la producción de todos sus modelos de aviones en el área de Seattle, Washington, Estados Unidos, después de cumplirse casi un mes y medio desde el fin de la huelga de trabajadores en la ciudad, que paralizó su actividad durante cincuenta y tres días. Tras la vuelta al trabajo en la construcción del 737 MAX la semana pasada, el fabricante ha retomado las operaciones en los programas del 767 y 777 y 777X, según ha informado la directora de Aviones Comerciales de Boeing, Stephanie Pope, en su cuenta de Linkedin.

«Nos hemos tomado tiempo para asegurarnos de que todos los compañeros de fabricación están al día en formación y certificaciones, a la vez que colocamos el inventario en los niveles óptimos para una producción sin problemas», ha expresado Stephanie Pope.

La compañía americana comunicó recientemente la entrega de trece aviones en Noviembre 2024, siendo el primer tras finalizar la huelga y la peor cifra desde 2020, mientras que en los primeros once meses la cifra descendió a 318, 143 menos que en el mismo periodo anterior. En cuanto a los pedidos, cerró acuerdos para 49 aviones comerciales en el pasado mes, más de la mitad que los 114 de un año antes, y 427 en el acumulado, es decir, 658 aeronaves menos.

Tras las medidad sindicales que ha provocado aún más el distanciamiento de competitividad y factor de producción con respecto a su rival Airbus Group, que entregó un total de 643 aviones entre Enero y Noviembre 2024, mientras que envió 84 unidades en el undécimo mes, la compañía aeroespacial espera restablecer los niveles de producción anuales.

The Boeing Company has resumed production of all its aircraft models in the Seattle, Washington, United States area, after almost a month and a half since the end of the workers’ strike in the city, which paralyzed its activity for fifty-three days. After returning to work on the construction of the 737 MAX last week, the manufacturer has resumed operations on the 767, 777 and 777X programs, according to Boeing’s director of Commercial Aircraft, Stephanie Pope, on her Linkedin account.

«We have taken time to ensure that all manufacturing colleagues are up to date on training and certifications, while placing inventory at optimal levels for smooth production», said Stephanie Pope.

The American company recently announced the delivery of thirteen aircraft in November 2024, being the first after the end of the strike and the worst figure since 2020, while in the first eleven months the figure fell to 318, 143 less than in the same period last year. As for orders, it closed agreements for 49 commercial aircraft in the past month, more than half of the 114 from a year earlier, and 427 in the cumulative total, that is, 658 fewer aircraft.

After the union measures that have further caused the gap in competitiveness and production factor with respect to its rival Airbus Group, which delivered a total of 643 aircraft between January and November 2024, while it sent 84 units in the eleventh month, the aerospace company hopes to restore annual production levels.
