Ryanair completa la adquisición del 75% de la aerolínea Laudamotion de Austria

Ryanair, la aerolínea low cost irlandesa ha completado la compra del 75% de Laudamotion, aerolínea fundada por el expiloto austríaco de Fórmula 1 Niki Lauda. La línea aérea es surgida de la quebrada Niki (FlyNiki).

Andreas Gruber, Director Ejecutivo de Laudamotion, este miércoles ha informado en una rueda de prensa conjunta con el consejero delegado de Ryanair, Michael O’Leary, en Viena la nueva adquisición accionaria.

La aerolínea de Austria incorporará aviones Airbus A320 adicionales a su flota para el 2Q2019. Laudamotion, con sede en Viena, se distinguirá de la aerolínea irlandesa, al menos en su logotipo y diseño. El nombre Lauda se mostrará en letras grandes y en negrita, mientras el logotipo de Air Berlin en la parte posterior será reemplazado por una letra «L». Además, la empresa ha anunciado un aumento del 14% de los sueldos de los pilotos, que se hará efectivo el 1 Abril 2019 y que supondrá un pago anual de hasta 180.000 euros brutos para los capitanes. Con la compra de Laudamotion, aprobada el mes pasado por la Comisión Europea, Ryanair espera mejorar la competitividad y aumentar la oferta de vuelos económicos, sobre todo en España, Alemania y Austria.

The Austrian airline will add additional Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet for 2Q2019. Laudamotion, based in Vienna, will be distinguished from the Irish airline, at least in its logo and design. The name Lauda will be displayed in large, bold letters, while the Air Berlin logo on the back will be replaced by an «L» letter. In addition, the company has announced an increase of 14% of the salaries of the pilots, which will be effective on April 1, 2019 and will involve an annual payment of up to 180,000 euros gross for the captains. Azul Linhas aéreas se incorporaría a la alianza entre United Airlines, Avianca, y Copa Airlines

United Airlines, el tercer mayor operador de pasajeros de Estados Unidos, está finalizando los acuerdos de joint-venture con la aerolínea colombiana Avianca y la panameña Copa Airlines. El acuerdo buscaría sumar además a Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras.

Azul tiene sede en Alphaville, en el Municipio de Barueri en el Estado de São Paulo. Pertenece al empresario estadounidense, nacido en São Paulo, David Neeleman, que también es el fundador de JetBlue Airways, aerolínea low cost que opera en Estados Unidos. La aerolínea dinamarquesa Air Alsie se incorpora a la Asociación de Aerolíneas Regionales Europeas (ERA)

La Asociación de Aerolíneas de Regiones Europeas (ERA) da la bienvenida a Air Alsie como su miembro más nuevo de la asociación. Air Alsie con sede en Sønderborg, Dinamarca, ha estado operando desde 1989 y con una flota disponible de 22 aviones, es el mayor operador ejecutivo en el norte de Europa.

Air Alsie es propiedad de Sandma Holding A/S obteniendo un crecimiento a lo largo de los años con una fuerza laboral de 180 empleados y brinda servicios de gestión de aeronaves, chárter, ACMI y jet ejecutivos. Air Alsie administra Alsie Express, que opera vuelos diarios de ida y vuelta entre Sonderborg y el Aeropuerto de Copenhague con una flota de dos aviones ATR 72-500. Zambia Airways se reactivará después de 20 años de inactividad

Zambia Airways, la aerolínea de bandera de Zambia, volverá a operar a partir del 1 Enero de 2019 tras un acuerdo entre el Gobierno de este país y la aerolínea etíope Ethiopian Airlines.

La compañía nacional zambia fue liquidada en 1995 después de que el Ejecutivo ordenase hace tres años que la empresa se hiciera cargo de sus deudas, lo que acabó por demostrar que aquella Zambia Airways no era viable. Zambia Airways no es la única aerolínea nacional africana que ha sido resucitada en los últimos tiempos, ya que el Gobierno de Nigeria anunció recientemente que volvería a tener una compañía de bandera con Nigeria Air, de la que se espera que empiece a operar el próximo mes de diciembre.

Despegue

El Gobierno de Zambia tendrá una participación del 55% en las acciones, mientras que Ethiopian Airlines mantendrá el 45%. Se espera que la inversión ayude a que en 2018 se transporten 1,9 millones de pasajeros, se acelere la industrialización del país y se impulse el turismo. El nuevo proyecto conjunto arranca con una inversión inicial de US$ 30 millones de dólares (€ 26,2 millones de euros).

La nueva aerolínea tratará de competir con sus rivales regionales para hacer de Zambia un centro aéreo relevante en el África meridional, donde el principal punto de conexión es Johannesburgo, en Sudáfrica.

La aerolínea etíope lidera una estrategia de integración continental, y también presentó una oferta para participar de manera similar en Nigeria Air cuando se reanime la aerolínea nigeriana.

Zambia Airways se vio obligada a declararse en quiebra en 1998, pero se mantuvo operando con capital privado hasta 2009, cuando anunció su cierre definitivo debido al alto costo del combustible, según declararon sus dueños en ese momento.

Delta Air Lines y Kenya Airways firman acuerdo de código compartido

Delta Air Lines ha establecido una asociación de código compartido con Kenya Airways. A partir del miércoles, el código de Delta se colocará en los vuelos de Kenya Airways desde Amsterdam, París, Londres y Accra a Nairobi, mejorando la conectividad y brindando a los clientes una experiencia única de viaje desde Estados Unidos. Delta Air Lines tenía interés por la aerolínea colombiana Avianca

La negociación y disputa que ha tenido el mayor accionista de Avianca Holdings, el Grupo Sinergy en cabeza Germán Efromovich, con la familia Kriete, dueña de TACA socia también de la aerolínea colombiana, han revelado que existía un interés de la aerolínea americana Delta Air Lines para comprar la compañía, pero Germán Efromovich se opuso, lo que generó una disputa entre los mayores socios que, incluso, generó demandas en las cortes de Nueva York.

El Grupo Sinergy, es el grupo del holding con mayores acciones en Avianca, decidió no hacer el negocio con Delta Air Lines; ellos querían comprar la empresa, y decidimos no venderla.

Frontier Airlines y Volaris Airlines han formalizado una alianza de código compartido

La nueva alianza comercial entre Volaris Airlines (México) y Frontier Airlines (EEUU) han iniciado operaciones en código compartido permitiendo acceder a los clientes de ambas compañías a tarifas bajas en la red de servicios que operan las aerolíneas en Estados Unidos, México, Centroamérica y el Caribe, así como a más de 125 destinos combinados.

“Estamos extremadamente orgullosos de este nuevo logro para Volaris. Ahora más clientes en México podrán visitar destinos en los Estados Unidos donde antes no llegábamos”, dijo el Director General y CEO de la línea aérea mexicana, Enrique Beltranena. El inicio de ventas de código compartido señala un hito en la historia de su operación. “Nuestros clientes y los de Frontier pueden adquirir sus boletos contando con la promesa compartida de mantener las tarifas más bajas, el mejor Servicio al Cliente y los mayores estándares de seguridad y calidad”, expresó el CEO.

“Nuestro inicio de ventas de código compartido señala un hito en la historia de nuestra operación. South African Airways está dialogando con diferentes líneas aéreas del Golfo para una alianza

Dos aerolíneas de Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU) sostuvieron conversaciones con South African Airways (SAA) sobre una asociación que, según dijo, es necesaria para reactivar sus negocios, informó el embajador de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos en Sudáfrica.
