En un comunicado oficial Aerolíneas Argentinas ha informado la baja de la ruta Buenos Aires/EZE—New York/JFK el 10 de Agosto 2024. Según trascendió, el motivo se relaciona con la intención de aumentar la productividad de su flota en los destinos de mayor rentabilidad, en base a una política de evaluación permanente sobre la rentabilidad de rutas frente a un mercado aeronáutico de extrema volatilidad.
Desde la compañía detallaron que esta modificación permitirá aumentar a dos vuelos diarios la oferta a Miami y a Madrid, además de disponer de recursos con el fin de incrementar los vuelos al Caribe. La medida busca reforzar y priorizar la operación a los destinos de mayor beneficio económico para la línea aérea.

Lansing Mayor Andy Schor called the news tremendously disappointing. «We have a great airport located right in the center of the state that is easy to get to, easy to use, and convenient for many. It’s unfortunate that Avelo was not able to get here or the other cities where they cut service. Lansing continues to offer many other daily flights and I have faith that our airport leadership will do everything possible to seek out airlines that offer direct flights and provide the best options for the capital area», Andy Schor said.
Last month, Apple Vacations said it would return to Capital Region International Airport with flights starting in January of next year to several tropical locations. Apple has offered flights at the airport since 2010. Flights escaping the cold weather begin Jan. 25 and run through April 9, according to a statement from the airport. Planned routes include nonstop flights from Lansing to Cancun, Mexico; Lansing to Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic; and Lansing to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The airport also has scheduled service from Delta and American Airlines. In March 2024, Breeze Airlines said it would begin offering service to Orlando and Fort Myers, Florida, in October of this year. Aerolíneas Argentinas ha inaugurado el Lunes 1 de Julio de 2024 los vuelos entre las ciudades de Córdoba, Argentina y Río de Janeiro, Brasil. La ruta Córdoba/COR—Rio Janeiro/GIG contará con una frecuencia de dos vuelos semanales (2Frq/S) los Lunes y Viernes.
El anuncio oficial se había realizado en Mayo 2024 y hoy, en el primer día de julio, comenzaron las operaciones de los vuelos Córdoba—Río de Janeiro. La compañía aérea detalló que la ruta entre Córdoba y la ciudad brasileña prestará servicios los Lunes y los Viernes. Para los vuelos de ida, el horario de partida será a las 14:00 arribando a las 17:00 a la ciudad carioca brasileña. El retorno el vuelo despegará a las 11:15 y aterrizará a las 14:45 en Córdoba.
Los nuevos vuelos permitirán conexiones rápidas y eficientes vía Córdoba con destinos como Salta, Mendoza, Tucumán, Jujuy y Posadas. Además, Aerolíneas Argentinas estrenará a partir del 13 de Septiembre de 2024 la otra ruta, desde Córdoba a Punta Cana. En este caso, los vuelos están previstos para los días viernes y sábados. Actualmente, son veinte las rutas internacionales que Aerolíneas Argentinas ofrece desde Córdoba. En todos los casos, los vuelos operan desde el Aeropuerto Córdoba/Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella.

El Gobierno de la Provincia de San Juan anuncia que Flybondi empieza a operar hacia la provincia de la Región de Cuyo. Tras un anuncio anterior, este Viernes 28/06 el Gobierno provincial anunciará el arribo de Flybondi a la Ciudad de San Juan. La low cost cubrirá la ruta Buenos Aires/AEP—San Juan/AUQ a partir del 2 de Septiembre 2024 con cuatro frecuencias semanales (4Frq/S) los Domingos, Lunes, Miércoles y Viernes. Aunque el anuncio se hará este mediodía en Casa de Gobierno de San Juan, trascendió que habrá vuelos cuatro frecuencias semanales pero no se conocieron los horarios. En San Juan, Flybondi sumará sus aviones Boeing 737-800 que saldrán desde Aeroparque con 186 pasajeros por vuelo.
El arribo de la aerolínea de presupuesto permitirá acceder a vuelos más económicos y hacer frente a Aerolíneas Argentinas que es la única que hasta ahora trabaja en la provincia. Desde la provincia esperan que esto baje los altísimos costos que actualmente pagan los sanjuaninos para poder volar a Buenos Aires.
En la actualidad únicamente opera en el Aeropuerto Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, Aerolíneas Argentinas que tiene dos vuelos por día de San Juan a Buenos Aires, lo que incrementó muchísimo el precio de los pasajes. En Julio 2024, sin embargo, la aerolínea de bandera retomaría otro vuelo más.

Viva Aerobus ha anunciado tres nuevas rutas a Estados Unidos desde Mérida, México. La aerolínea de bajo costo anunció la ampliación de sus operaciones internacionales desde el Aeropuerto de Mérida (MID), con tres nuevas rutas a Estados Unidos y otro destino nacional. La aerolínea low cost mexicana operará la ruta Mérida/MID—Orlando/MCO iniciando el trayecto el 01/07 y Mérida/MID—Miami/MIA el 02/07.
En un evento que contó con la presencia del Gobernador del Estado, Mauricio Vila. En su mensaje, el mandatario afirmó que estos anuncios son muy buenas noticias para el turismo y la conectividad de Yucatán, que se vienen a sumar y fortalecer los máximos históricos que se han logrado en la materia, tales como en derrama económica, incremento de rutas, inversiones turísticas y diversificación. “En términos turísticos, estamos dejando un Yucatán mucho mejor de lo que nos dejaron, pero tiene más potencial y hay que seguir trabajando para atraer turismo de cada vez más lados”, aseveró el mandatario estatal. Los servicios que conectarán a Mérida con las ciudades de Orlando y Miami darán inicio el 1 y 2 de Julio de 2024, respectivamente.

Asimismo, y respondiendo al compromiso de volver a conectar a Mérida con una ciudad clave como es Tijuana, la aerolínea iniciará este servicio el 3 de Noviembre 2024, este vuelo contará con escalas en León de ida y en Monterrey de regreso, donde los aviones aterrizarán brevemente para recargar combustible sin necesidad de que los pasajeros tengan que bajarse de la aeronave.
Viva Aerobús dio a conocer los resultados preliminares del tráfico correspondientes a Mayo de 2024, donde se registró 84.5%, con una pérdida de ocupación respecto al mismo periodo de 2023, cuando alcanzó 86.8%, lo que le complica su rentabilidad aunque proyectan una temporada de verano positiva.
