Aerolíneas Argentinas cancela entrega Boeing 737-800

Aerolíneas Argentinas ha cancelado la entrega por parte del fabricante The Boeing Company de un Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, que integraba el pedido original conjunto por catorce aeronaves realizado en Septiembre de 2016. Las aeronaves correspondían al último lote de fabricación de la serie de tercera generación del modelo 737. El pedido pendiente de entrega no ha llegado a concretarse, mientras que un nuevo acuerdo fue reemplazado por los nuevos 737 MAX.

De este pedido original se han entregado dos Boeing 737 MAX en condición de leasing financiero, dejando un remanente de 12 aeronaves adicionales por entregarse, pero que se han retrasado debido a las complicaciones que afrontó Boeing luego de los dos accidentes y la posterior crisis sanitaria de Covid-19.

De acuerdo al último ejercicio financiero de Aerolíneas Argentinas, en Junio de 2023 la empresa habría cancelado dos Boeing 737 MAX declarando que reemplazarían la recepción de los aviones LV-KEI y KEJ. Ambas aeronaves iban a ser entregadas inicialmente a la aerolínea de Bielorrusia, Belavia, pero debido a las sanciones por participar en la guerra de Ucrania fueron cancelados.

Actualmente, Aerolíneas Argentinas tiene pendiente de entregas nueve (9) Boeing 737-8 MAX con fecha de entregas entre 2027 y 2028. No obstante, la empresa ha realizado acuerdos fuera de Boeing con diversos lessors, permitiéndole cerrar el 2024 con 13 Boeing 737 MAX.
