JetAir y United Caribbean Airlines declaran en Bancarrota

Las aerolíneas JetAir Caribbean y United Caribbean Airlines B.V., que operan conjuntamente bajo la marca JetAir se declararon en prooceso de Bancarrota este Martes 18 de Junio de 2024 ante el Tribunal de Primera Instancia en Willemstad, Curaçao, según informó la compañía en su página web.

«En consulta con la Junta Directiva, los administradores han decidido poner fin a todas las operaciones. Esto significa que se cancelan todos los vuelos y que los aviones de JetAir (Fokker 70) permanecerán en tierra a partir del 18 de Junio. Como resultado de la quiebra, todas las deudas están congeladas y no se pueden realizar reembolsos en este momento», ha expresado la aerolínea en un comunicado. Mientras, los interesados pueden presentar su reclamo a los administradores enviando un correo electrónico a creditors.jetair@hbnlawtax.com, influyendo el número de su boleto, la fecha de pago y el importe abonado.

«En esta fase inicial de la quiebra, los síndicos llevarán a cabo una investigación de los activos de la empresa y explorarán las posibilidades de un reinicio de operaciones de Jetair y se centrarán en informar a los empleados, pasajeros y otros acreedores y partes interesadas. No existe un plazo para la duración de una quiebra. Depende en parte de los resultados de las investigaciones sobre las causas y la legalidad, indicó la aerolínea», concluyen las aerolíneas.

The airlines JetAir Caribbean and United Caribbean Airlines B.V., which operate jointly under the JetAir brand, filed for Bankruptcy this Tuesday, June 18, 2024, before the Court of First Instance in Willemstad, Curaçao, as reported by the company on its website.

«In consultation with the Board of Directors, the administrators have decided to end all operations. This means that all flights are canceled and that JetAir aircraft (Fokker 70) will remain grounded from June 18. As a result of bankruptcy, all debts are frozen and no refunds can be made at this time», the airline said in a statement.
