Investigaciones accidente aéreo Bombardier CRJ-200

Un Bombardier Canadair CRJ-200 de Saurya Airlines con matrícula 9N-AME que realizaba un vuelo el 24/07 de Katmandú a Pokhara (Nepal) con 19 personas a bordo, despegó de la Pista 02 en el Aeropuerto Tribhuvan de Katmandú alrededor de las 11:11L/06:26Z pero se inclinó hacia la derecha hasta que casi las alas quedaron verticales, perdió altura e impactó en el terreno y a la derecha de la pista. Se produjo un incendio. Murieron 18 ocupantes, el capitán fue trasladado a un hospital con heridas.

La Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Nepal informó que el avión se encontraba en un vuelo a Pokhara. Un superviviente, el capitán, fue llevado al hospital, 18 fueron encontrados muertos declarando: «Poco después de despegar de la Pista 02, el avión se desvió hacia la derecha y se estrelló en el lado este de la pista. Las operaciones de rescate se iniciaron de inmediato. El incendio fue controlado, una persona herida, el Capitán, fue rescatada y llevada a un hospital y 18 personas fueron encontradas muertas».

Según el Aeropuerto de Katmandú, la aeronave transportaba a 2 pilotos, 17 técnicos, pero ningún pasajero en un vuelo a Pokhara donde se iba a realizar el mantenimiento. La aerolínea confirmó que todas las personas a bordo eran empleados de la aerolínea.

Saurya Airlines es un operador nepalí fundado en 2014 que opera varios aviones CRJ-200 que conectan cinco destinos nacionales de Nepal.

La Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Nepal, Bombardier continuarán con las investigaciones acerca de las causales del accidente aéreo del avión regional de origen canadiense.

A Bombardier Canadair CRJ-200 of Saurya Airlines registered 9N-AME operating a flight the 24/07 from Kathmandu to Pokhara (Nepal) with 19 people on board took off from Runway 02 at Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu at around 11:11L/06:26Z but banked to the right until the wings were almost vertical, lost altitude and impacted on the ground and to the right of the runway. A fire broke out. 18 occupants died, the captain was taken to a hospital with injuries.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal reported that the aircraft was on a flight to Pokhara. One survivor, the captain, was taken to hospital, 18 were found dead. He said: «Shortly after taking off from Runway 02, the aircraft veered to the right and crashed on the eastern side of the runway. Rescue operations were immediately initiated. The fire was brought under control, one injured person, the Captain, was rescued and taken to a hospital and 18 people were found dead».

According to Kathmandu Airport, the aircraft was carrying 2 pilots, 17 technicians, but no passengers on a flight to Pokhara where maintenance was to be carried out. The airline confirmed that all the people on board were employees of the airline.

Saurya Airlines is a Nepalese operator founded in 2014 that operates several CRJ-200 aircraft connecting five domestic destinations in Nepal.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Bombardier will continue with investigations into the causes of the plane crash of the Canadian-origin regional aircraft.
